It was in the way he walked.
The way his hips moved, how he shifted his weight with the same rhythm as a gentle tide, in and out, side to side. The way the wind carried his hair, a soft bounce in tune with every movement he made. The way the sun from this planet illuminated his skin, giving him an ethereal look - like he was something more than human, or even Galra. Shiro was afraid of touching him, like the mere contact would rot away his delicate exterior, plaguing it with the marks of his own inferior fingers.
Meet Ukie, a storyline writer for the zine!
Hello! My names Ukie, she/her, 18. Im super into video games and cartoons. ATLA is my all time favorite, though over time Voltron has won a special place in my heart.
What is your favourite VLD episode and why?
For a while it was The Journey, Shiro is my favorite character and I love the long haired, scruffy look he had. Since the release of season 6 its been The Black Paladins, the fight is absolutely breathtaking and the music is incredible.
What mythical/fantasy being would you be and why?
It's cliche but I love dragons a lot, though Sphinxs are also really cool. I'd be happy with anything that has wings honestly, I've always had a desire to fly.
Favorite fantasy/mythology book/movie/tv series/other?
ATLA by far. I watched it way back when it was airing and im always super nostalgic when i rewatch episodes. I fondly remember staying up late watching reruns of episodes I already had memorized, and being amazed like it was the first time.
What got you into writing/doing art?
I've actually only been seriously writing for less than a year. Ive been into writing since I was a kid, and believe it or not it was Voltron fanfic that got me doing it regularly, as opposed to only dabbling in it for assignments and random OC backstories.
