I can't believe we have been living in this world without Sir Terry for 10 years already 💔

Oh, by the way, there are already 10 covers!
Witches are next
Discworld Protags from most to least tortured:
Rincewind - obvious first pick. Literally the entire premise of his books is that this man Cannot Catch A Fucking Break. Vimes - Each book throws him into a blender, he grows to be able to better survive the blender, then in the next book he is put into a worse blender Death - In a much subtler but in some ways worse way, because with him its less the blender (there's a lil blender) and more him slowly improving the profound loneliness of his existence that pervades between books Weatherwax - A woman who is definitely being tormented by the narrative, but who has decided she is going to give as good as she gets and torment the narrative right back. Tiffany - Certainly tormented, by several horrific metaphysical monsters and more importantly by being an autistic twelve year old girl, and much like Weatherwax is fighting back, except it would be unfair to say she is giving as good as she's getting because she's giving so much more. Gods and demons are stepping up to this girl and getting absolutely bodied. Moist - I don't know if he's being tortured per se, but he is being put into Situations. He does do a lot of bitching and moaning for the first part of his first book though. Susan - Subsection of the Death books, but has arguably a better claim to Protagonisthood than Death. I wouldn't say she's being tortured, but she's not having a good time and a lot of bullshit is happening around her that she absolutely will not stand for.

lowkey obsessed with my Death bookend that I have so I drew the pose
Discworld fanart! Death is one of my absolute favorite characters and his love of cats makes me very happy. My hubby and I just watched Hogfather the other day and I cried twice (same scenes in the book make me cry).
(Also this is probably the best cat I’ve ever drawn, though drawing fur is such a pain)
Thank you Terry Pratchett for making it so a valid answer to ‘who’s your favorite Christmas character’ is death.
