About SpUk.
Maybe we’re not in Hetalia’s golden age anymore, but one thing that still blows my mind is how EngSpa / SpUk somehow ended up being that ship. Like… technically it’s a crackship, but the amount of content?? The fanfics, the doujinshi, the old 8/24 event… it’s honestly kind of wild. This ship is popular-popular.
On AO3 it’s literally England’s third most popular ship (and Arthur is the most popular Hetalia character overall), and for Spain it’s his second most popular ship — basically fighting for its life against the big classics like FrUK, USUK, and Spamano. Which is hilarious when you remember the canon gives Toño and Arthur, like… two and a half interactions total.
The fandom really said “fine, I’ll do it myself,” and carried this ship on its back.
It was a ship fueled almost entirely by headcanons
The Power of the fandom.
Esta babosea se me ocurrió cuando vi los videos de que los gringos creían la leche de chocolate venía de vacas marrones 😂 y x si no fuera suficiente luego salen los españoles diciendo que no sabían la leche venía de las vacas.

I'll go with SpUK since something popped into my head pretty quickly for that one.
Spanish Ladies. They talk about Spanish ladies and British sailors in the song, it's a shanty...need I say more?

Can we have some Spain X England angst?
Antonio is a man who wears his hear on his sleeve and sometimes that is used against him, not always intentionally. Like with Arthur, Arthur doesnt always mean to get on people's nerves its just how he was raised by.
One day, Antonio comes back from work, whatever it may be to see Arthur in a grumpy mood, he tries and tries to brighten it up with little things he each time he is snapped at, ridiculed and talked down to. Antonio knows it's a bad day but it feels... feels like more. The hours turns into days into weeks and it just gets worse, soon it's not one sided and they both just souring each others moods.
What really stops is that Antonio is found crying in the bathroom does Arthur realize his faults. He helps Antonio but... sometimes, it's best to work on things together then alone.
antonio's in a good mood
