And with that, Ether-tober is now fully complete! From Ghazt to BeMeebEth, all 31 members of the Ethereal class (not including Rares or Epics), have all been featured for this month's challenge.
As you can tell, I had ALOT of fun with this last one. If the Ethereal Quint is this unstable mish-mash of all 5 elements, it stands to reason that I make this one absolutely crazy and spooky. I found some glitch brushes for Krita a while back before this project started, and I'm very happy to say that they came in handy for this piece.
Working on this thing took me a long while, maybe even a bit more than my second go at May-strchtian Madness earlier this year. I definitely wanna blame that damn hurricane for that, as I was already nearly half-way done by the time it came through my town. Regardless, I pressed on, working bit by bit to get the other half finished. And now that we're at the end here, I'm very happy to say that I succeeded.
Now that Ether-tober is all said and done, you might be wondering what's next for me. While I'll remain to be busy for a bit, I'm planning to slow down on my art for a bit to recharge my creative batteries, as I wanna get at least a few more projects down before the end of the year. Between that life stuff possibly getting in the way for a bit, I could be a bit slow with future releases. With that said, I do have a few neat ideas for pieces that I wanna get done, so stay tuned for those.
As Mariah Carey’s icy prison begins to thaw in a worrying pace, I’d like to wish you all a very happy Halloween, along with an equally happy end-of-Ether-tober. Until next year!
Happy Ultra-Ween, everyone!
Maryanna's Hell-Bestiary: The ENTIRE damn thing.
Now that MHB's base storyline is complete (more on that later), I can finally bring everything together in one neatly-wrapped coffin. The whole story, from start to end, can be found here. I wanna thank @yee-qi ,along with @sirleonmoment ,Funko, and Lillid0ptera for their amazing ideas for the project, they came up with some pretty neat stuff. Please check them all out if you have some time. Here now stands the FULL storyline, from the Aardbird to T-Rex.
Welcome... to the Hell-Bestiary
Daria Cohen and ZZZ making a collab together was NOT what I was expecting for Halloween this year, but it somehow works.
Had myself a blast giving out candy to trick-or-treaters tonight. And it helps that this was the most successful that I've been with it in years too!
As Mariah Carey's icy prison begins to thaw in a worrying pace, I'd like to wish you all a very happy Ultra-Ween. Until next year!
Prehistoric Phantoms
Made this in part of an upcoming Maryanna piece, but I feel like giving it its own release would be cash money of me. What do the ghosts of long-extinct megafauna have to do with a certain Sassy Moon Vamp? You'll just have to wait and see...
While it's a weird piece to start off Spooky Season, a spooky, modern redesign of a Pokemon is in order. As much as I love Chinchou to bits, I feel like Lanturn lacks the visual charm of its pre-evolution. Just imagine if a football fish, a Pacific barreleye, the image of skeletons being shown when people get shocked by electricity, fish bones, deep sea submersibles, and the Untouchable Bathysphere Fish were all mixed in a blender, and this is the result.
