I didn’t even notice this the first few times. Qibli was aware of Umber’s crush and was chill about. We love a Bi King.

Honestly when I first read Moon Rising it wasn’t clear to me whether Umber was crushing on Qibli or Winter. I didn’t find out the answer until The Hybrid Prince.
