The Legend of Spyro is my absolute favorite game in the entire series. Whatever anyone says, I think it's more interesting both in gameplay and story. Spyro and Cynder's fate is so tragic, and I love it. It really touches me. I'm currently replaying the third game with my boyfriend, and inspired by it. I decided to make an art featuring the ending scene of Eternal Night and Ignitus's inspiring speech from the Dawn of the Dragon.

A different look at the cover

My friends and I organized a small flash mob to redraw WoF book covers. Initially, I just wanted to redraw a scene from any book in my own interprietation and style it as a cover, but then I had a different idea – to change the mood of the cover; this book is more serious, in the spirit of 2000s fantasy. I also plan to make a silly collage like the ones you can see on low-grade Russian fiction covers (cyber Cossacks and all that), but I don't know if I'll get around to it.

Since 99% of foreigners don't know how such books look, I'd like to show you what these covers are (below). Perhaps you have your own similar ones, and if you share them, I'd be interested to see.

Kinkajou in Joy Ang style

I've been practicing drawing in Joy Ang's style for some time now, and this is my last art in her style, I drew it at an event with character swap-cards, that was held in the ru community. The organizers and I (I am one of them) will soon be translating cards into English in order to share the layouts with you so that you can print them too.

I drew the art at the end of March, and also made versions in the form of book covers, as if Kinkajou had written her book about nature in the jungle.

I made a Joy Ang style base with dragons from The Hybrid Prince

Disclaimer! This is just my impression, and it may turn out differently in reality. I was just curious to try drawing the Wildwings (as I understand it, that's their name) in Joy Ang's style, since we've seen them in a different style so far.

The base has fills and separate layers for shadows and patterns to simplify coloring. This is a fanmade base, so please do not mislead people and mark works made with this base as spoilers for Book 16 until it's released!

Another scene from The Hybrid Prince that really caught my attention was one of the final scenes, where Umber finds the eggs and meets Precipice spirit.

(I've imagined her this way, that's why I'm depicting her in blue, also it looks good with the palette.)

And now the concept of Sharpwings from me

First of all, I'll say that for me, Sharpwings are NOT robots or mechanisms. That concept is too complex for dragons, the level of development shown in the books. So, I imagine them as golems. It's a straightforward concept – you sculpt something in your own image and brought it to life with magic – that's it. I imagine Precipice could smelt them from solid pieces of metal, or fuse several together if it needed more, and draw details on the molten metal. (Or she could make details with magic, but that's boring.) I imagine their wings as very dense foil or corrugated metal sheets located between the phalanges.

While I was reading the book, I couldn't get the image of a mechanical dragon from Warcraft out of my head, so I drew a design similar to them.

I also want to say that someday I will make a drawing that will feature the dragon Clink and the robot Clank from the game Ratchet & Clank...

Northern Lights Concert | Book 16 Illustration

The incredible, charming Aurora and Borealis performing on stage.

In my mind, Aurora is a very soft pink, with sparkling glitter and iridescent wings, like the Northern Lights. Borealis, in my mind, is more blue-violet.

I also thought about the design of the "drum kit," adding a bass drum for the tail, and a few hanging metal things to create "magical sounds," and some cymbals.

Cartoonish Dragonets of Destiny

I came up with the idea of ​​drawing the dragonets of destiny in cartoonish proportions. I found it very interesting while I was coming up with the shapes. I didn't try to bring them into any particular style, I was just experimenting.

Resting in Rainforest

A commissioned box similar to the Moonwatcher, but featuring the character of Nejisima (VK). The Reaper (Жнец/Zhnets on Russian) rests in the treetops of a rainforest.

Made of polymer clay and painted with acrylic. The box base is wooden. Work was complex and took a bit longer, than I had planned to complete it, but the main thing is that the result is great)

My first impression about scavengers in WoF

Have you ever misunderstood the scavengers in books? When I read the first book, there were no comics yet, so for some reason I imagined them as anthropomorphic hares with lion's manes… To be honest, I don't like the idea of ​​people being shoved into such worlds. I kept hoping they were some kind of animals, until i saw a comic.
