April 22nd, 2025: A new minarai has emerged! Umemai (梅豆衣) of Umeno (梅乃) in Kamishichiken has formally begun her journey to becoming a maiko! She is the first debut for Umeno in 6 years and will help to bolster the Kamishichiken maiko numbers. Her misedashi will take place tomorrow ^^ Image is courtesy of Yuko Umeno.
April 24th, 2025: Surprise! For some unknown reason, Umemai (梅豆衣) of Umeno (梅乃) in Kamishichiken has skipped the majority of her minarai period and has debuted as a maiko today! She is debuting without an onesan, but will have the support of her Kamishichiken geimaiko onesan to help with her growth and development.
