dinner at Man Man Japanese Unagi Restaurant and thank goodness the queue was rather forgiving. Mom & I shared the large Hitsumabushi that comes with a lovely grilled unagi on top of Japanese warm rice 🍚 (toel @shutterfoodie). @aries0028 felt it was like eating an IKEA meal because there were a lot of DIYs involved in eating this dish. We served out a small portion to our own bowls first and enjoyed it as it is, lovely marinate that’s sweet over the crispy unagi skin while the flesh is tender and moist... then on a second serving, we added the fresh wasabi (please grate it yourself), cut spring onions and nori... at a third serving, i really enjoyed eating this poured over with a dashi stock to make your own ochazuke. It makes a very comforting meal like eating warm porridge on a cold rainy day.
