bought this packet of @mychitato from Papaya Supermarket for @beepbeepz86 because he told me he loves Kerak Telor a lot... so upon finding this limited edition Chitato chips in celebration of Indonesia's National Day, I bought a couple of bags for him. I got one for myself to try and sad to say I can't quite distinguish the kerak telor flavour, just like a standard packet of chips with more salt and flavour enhancer. About last night tasting menu dinner with @restaurantlocavore at @emilierestaurant in Senopati... Bringing flavors of Ubud to Jakarta. About last night’s tasting dinner, a pop-up dinner featuring Ubud’s well-known @restaurantlocavore at @emilierestaurant in Senopati... dinner ended with this playful dessert called Congklak, a childhood mind-game played by picking-up and moving shells from a wooden plank with holes, similar to the dessert served here. In a recent trip to Singapore, I found these renkon chips from a various producers. The first picture is from a Japanese brand and it’s coated with seaweed... but I don’t understand why people don’t sell big bags of lotus root chips? These come in tiny, like maybe 10pcs or so in the packet but it is tasty though, at a cost od $2.50 if I remember correctly. The second picture is the few pieces left from a big plastic tub which I got randomly from a Chinese New Year bazaar at Vivocity. I guess my love for lotus root chips is the shape and when cooked in soup, it has a lovely crunchy texture.
