As you walk through the shelves you see Monica, principal of the library, calling you over with her hand movements. You smile at her and go to her after placing the last history book on the right section.
“(Y/N), I need to talk to you for a second.” She whispers and you nod. When you two are finally outside of the library, she starts to speak.
“ Look, (Y/N), I know that the circumstances you’re under aren’t so well…” she says, ok, there we go… you think to yourself.
“And?” you question her but you’re already aware of what’s coming.
“I’m afraid I have to end your job here.” Her face looks disappointed. Fucking great.
“But you know I need this job, I dont have any other income!” your voice goes louder and people inside look over you two through transparent door.
“I know but there’s nothing I can do. We’re already four people here and we don’t really need more.” She’s right and you’ve been waiting this to come for a long time. Actually, you really like working here since the only thing you do is putting books on shelves and read history and poetry books on your spare time, let’s be honest, you had plenty of spare time.
“Well, at least give me this month’s salary.” You sigh sounding defeated. “Don’t worry about that, darling.” Smiling at you “It was a pleasure to work with you, (Y/N).” She continues. “Sure.” You say not wanting to keep talking with her.
You take your bag and get out of there immadiatly, making sure you’ve stole couple of books.
As you walk out of the building, searching for wallet in your bag, a man stops walking and stands on your way “(Y/N)?” he asks. You tilt your head up to face him. He is tall, like real tall. His hair well shaped and swept back, he’s looking at you deeply with his deep hazel eyes. Those eyes… you know them.
And finally, it hits you. “Sam?” a smile grows on his face. And you do the first thing that pops up in your mind when you see him. Punch him in the face.
“Jesus! (Y/N), what the fuck?!” he shouts, bringing his right hand to his nose.
“You fucking left me!” you shout back. This day is going great.
“You could’ve just hear me out first.” He says after making sure that his nose isn’t bleeding.
“My ears are already full of bullshit!” you wanted to listen to him but simply, you just didn’t want to admit it.
“That’s bad. ‘Cause I have some crazy ass stories.” A grin appears on his lips. God, his lips. “you’re looking good by the way.” Still grinning at you. You are wearing your old worn out band shirt and jeans.
“Yeah, pretty sure my husband also thinks that way.” You catch a glimpse of sadness but it quickly fades away.
“Nice try. You don’t have the ring.” He points out. Fuck. You forgot how big of a observer he is.he used show you the the things that no men could ever notice.
“So, what do you say? Coffee?” he suggests.
“So you and Nate have become The Drake’s?” you ask. You stil cant believe that that old lady had died just like that in front of them.
You two have been sitting in this coffee shop for over two hours and he has been telling his stories. places he and Nate have been, everything about his mom’s Works,... Well, at least you think that’s everything.
“Exactly. (Y/N), we had to leave.” He looks like he’s trying to convince you.
“I know, It’s like the third time you say that.” You force yourself to smile. “What brought you here?”
“Apparently, you weren’t what I was looking for.” He jokes and laughs at himself.
“Not a single doubt about that…” he rolls his eyes, obviously not having fun with your sarcastic remarks. Hell, you weren’t having fun either when you were left behind.
“One of Nathan’s friends is here, we’re looking for more clues about that Avery guy.”
“hhmm.” You mumble while playing with you coffee mug. There he is, sitting in front of you, watching your every single move, your every move brings a memory with you from past. You can’t believe it. You thought you’d forgotten him but you were wrong, he was there all the damn time. He was in somewhere inside you. He was just hidden and now he’s rising from his ashes.
“So, um…Are you gonna see me again?” you turn your head to face him. Is he really asking?Hell yes.
“Maybe.” You say instead.
“Maybe is enough for me.” He leans over you, basically you can feel his warm breath brushing your baby hair. He kisses you as you close your eyes while your heart falls into peices from his touch. What is he doing to me? Soon you kiss him back.
“Just like I remember.” He says licking his bottom lip.
He kicks the cheap motel room door to close it while kissing you with need. Your hands running through his hair, his one hand on your waist the other is finding its way to your breasts…
“God, I forgot how good you feel.” He says between his moans. You don’t reply, instead, you close your eyes to enjoy him better moving in and out of you. His motions are slow and deep. Slow and deep. You missed this feeling. all other men you’ve slept with were so vapid.
You move your hand up to his body to pull down on you and you kiss him , kiss him like there is no tomorrow…
There you are… In a motel room. With your long lost friend, your naked bodies lying next to one another. he brought that good old feeling back. Tens of men were definetely different from Sam.
While you watch the ceiling that is no longer white, Sam breaks the silence “What ‘bout you? What have you done in those years?” What have I done?
“I don’t know Sam… Where to start?” you ask. “Start from the very beginnig.” He answers.
“Okay…” you continue watching the dirty ceiling, you can feel his eyes on you. “ I looked for you first but…nothing came up. I continued my life and last year of high school I found my parents.” You smile.
“Shit! Really? Where are they?” he sounds excited. “Six feet underground.” You tell him still smiling.
“I-I’m sorry.” He says, you feel like he means it. “No, don’t be. I’m not. They were already dead when ı found them.”
You tell him everything you did, you do now. He listens you carefully wanting to catch the missed years.
“What about college? You always wanted to go to college.”
“With the Money I had in my pocket that was imposible.” You laugh. “Your uncle? He used to support you in high school.”
“He’s nowhere to be found right now. He left me like all the people did.” By all the other people you mean Sam.
“Don’t worry I’ve got used to it.” You cut him off. “Anyways, I’m currently jobless, soon will be homeless.” You say laughing at your hopeless condition.
“why is that?” he asks. You turn your face to him “ Sam, I haven’t pay the rent for three months. I don’t even know why he’s still keeping me there.”
He slowly scans your naked body “ not that hard to guess.” He says, admiring you.
Minutes later he surprises you as he speaks,
“come with us!” he suggests. Is he Serious?
“Well, since there’s nothing to keep you here, you can come with us, with me and Nathan. He has an old friend he can find you a good job.” He is serious.
