Dead. Everybody was d e a d. Commander Sendak was gone- and even Lance. They knew that they shouldn’t be feeling bad about the blue paladin, but it was hard not to when he still believed in them and went as far as caring for them.

“Why am I the one blamed for it?!” Pidge snapped, obviously displeased and shocked by the whole ordeal. “Like hell they are sending Matt there!“

They scowled at the masked being, crossing their arms and snarling back. “Who are you calling a bastard heir, you featureless thing?”

However the idea of Sendak being dead sent an unpleasant shiver down their back. He couldn’t have been taken down that easily. Pidge themselves was having a hard time fighting him, he could not be dead!

“I will have you know that the others respect me, hell, I’m the new c h a m p i o n, they wouldn’t dare go against me.”

Cue slightly awkward smile as they rubbed the back of their head. By the way the grey face was talking, it sounded like they were on some short of show. Maybe they were being interviewed by the space equivalent of a TV reporter? Who knew, really.

“I wouldn’t say betrayed. I just took matters in my own hands and went with it.” Pidge began saying, shrugging at the second question. “I’m a first class citizen and they treat me like their own- a Galra Soldier- otherwise Sendak and Kuro would have their heads.”

At the last inquiry they held their robotic arm up. “This beauty. Pretty snazzy if I can say so myself.”

Terrify my muse

All colour drained from their face when they were presented with the situation. They failed horribly. Everybody was dead and it was all their fault. They had been reckless, thinking that they got it under control when in reality they were fighting a losing battle.

And now they were going to meet their end at Sendak’s hands, staring into his cold, lifeless golden gaze. No- This- This couldn’t be happening! It couldn’t be real!

Do you believe that the commander would kill you?

It would be counterproductive for him and all his work so I don’t think he would kill me. However injuring me severely is another story. We have healing cryopods similar to those on the Castle of Lions so it would be easy for him to just leave me in one for a few days.

The mere mention of Shiro’s name has Pidge clenching their hands into tight fists, the first word being spat out with venom. “Traitor. I know that he doesn’t remember much from his time on the Galra ship and would rather not force himself to, but at least he could tell me what he knows. Like, everything. At once.”

Training under his supervision isn’t easy- not that I expected it to be-, but it’s truly rewarding. I wonder what’s keeping him from letting me have a go in the Arena. Both 32 and Matt mentioned that they have yet to see me fight there.”
