An example of how touchy the people we live with are, Quinn had just finished cooking, and was signing to a Sinatra song, standing in the door way. The body's grandfather came up behind her, grabbed her shoulder tightly on one side, and leaned down with his tall body to whisper in her ear on the other side. So, so, so close to her. He just goes, "you know you're an old soul," in a really creepy tone. Ugh. I'm disturbed just thinking about it. It was really unpleasant for her at the time.

So, I'm a white girl in America. Even though my parents are at the lower end of middle class, I have not experienced poverty. Basically, I try to help others with the privilege I have received. Today, I was walking downtown, and a homeless guy complimented my hat, and asked to trade. Obviously I'm not going to trade, but hell, it's a basic knit hat. I have more at home. So I'm like you can have it if you want it. Apparently, this opened a door that I didn't even know existed. That door was named "I'm going to proceed to ask you about all aspects of your life." Like my job. Where I'm from. If I'm seeing someone. If I wanna go out for coffee. Another thing about me? I get anxious around strangers asking me personal questions when I'm not expecting it. So, yeah. I cut out as soon as possible. So much for trying to be nice.
