so i finally got around to sketching up some various worship-outfits for my OC Crisp to wear - feat some very sloppy shading and five colour palettes from @epikowlpalettes :)

in order, they are:

1. (no palette) everyday wear outside of the temple 2. (Don’t Do Him Dirty, August 6th 2020) everyday wear inside of the temple 3. (Quazar Born, August 7th 2020) attire for festivals, parties, and so on 4. (A Little Less Salt, July 24th 2020, darkened version) sleepwear! 5. (Luck of Junk, August 4th 2020) travel gear, especially in foresty areas 6. (Take it Slower, July 27th 2020) reserved for the most sacred of rituals and gatherings

Thank you so much to @epikowlpalettes for their wonderful service ^^ These outfits would not have looked half as good without the palettes. Some were a bit of a struggle (Luck of Junk I’m looking at you) but it was a fun challenge either way! My favourite outfits by far are the second and last, but I’m fine with the result of them all. Now for the rest of the cast...

Living under a Covid-19 cloud

Living with autism in a pandemic has always unnerved me, because in the early days it felt bigger than me and with no control or understanding, it was easy for me to feel overwhelmed and out of control.

A year in, and this isn’t going away, and whilst that in itself is a concern, its handling is my biggest cause for concern. Any government stance will always have an effect on how we live our lives, but too many lives have already been affected and lost.

The other issue is the little understanding we have on how the virus works. There is no clear understanding of how the virus is changing and continuing to spread against the global population. We need to create opportunity, to have the understanding, for the world to be able to eradicate the virus successfully.

Children are now back in school, but without all head teaching staff and ancillary workers being vaccinated, whoever is carrying the virus, but doesn’t know they are, can quite easily infect others.

It seems logical to me that we all mask up when out in public spaces, not just in shop and including schools. In the meantime, for people like myself who deal with a pre-existing and are living with Covid-19 under a cloud, we’re still self-isolating at home.

In the early days a shop worker with cerebral palsy who lived in America, died of Covid. It made headline news. I am just wondering now how many more people with a disability have died of Covid that we haven’t heard about. From the start of Covid, we seem to be the forgotten people.

Covid-19 will be eradicated for good if the world was completely vaccinated against it, but realistically that can’t happen. There will be people who genuinely cannot have the vaccine, and with little understanding on how the virus works, we can never have full control of it. The independent scientists are telling us this.

Although Covid seems to be taking people without pre-existing conditions, those with a disability are still more likely to die from the virus, over someone without a pre-existing condition.

Since Covid-19 doesn’t care whose lives it touches, we must care and continue to use our common sense when going about our daily lives and being a support for each other.
