Well, it can be a bit difficult if I don’t have any background info to work with. Even the littlest piece of info helps a bunch.
It is, however, a bunch of fun to do! I get to flex my creative muscles in a twisted way. Using any and all information I’m given and twisting them into something dark, tragic and hella gruesome.
Depending on the background info and/or snippet of information I receive I pull from my massive reserves of my monster/death/gore/ect, well of information to completely fuck up their character.
Take This One for example.
When Lordtypos gave me the information on their character I had a short brainstorming session and quickly sketched out a few ideas that I thought could fit their character. Which I then sent to them to see which they liked best.
Then, when they told me which one they liked best I started another sketch which I then sent to them to see if they wanted anything changed.
If they want something changed I quickly fix it and send them a snapshot of the fixed work.
There needs to be a lot of conversation going on for it to really work out but I’ve found it’s always a blast for everyone involved.
