Pictured: One of the most sympathetic characters from The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall.
I kept this under wraps for almost two decades, but I was convinced to go ahead and publish the full body--and biggest (lol) secret--of my beloved Underking. Behold!
The scorpion isn't his "real" body, it's the rest of his body. Not an anglerfish scenario, a centaur scenario. The most inconvenient centaur you could ever possibly imagine. He would rather die than let anyone know about this. It has, unsurprisingly, caused him a few problems over the 300 years he's been alive.
He spends the majority of his time with most of his body buried underground so that only the human part is visible. When he needs to move around, he uses his Earth powers to cleave the ground in front of him and seals it up behind himself as he goes, using his big outfit to disguise it. This gives him an extremely strange gait, hence the cane.
Bonus goofy joke:

Quick fablehaven rarepair cause i forgot about it today!!! Day 3!!
Underking x ronodin
You can give suggestions btw
The real reason why the underking doesn't want people to know he's a skeleton is because everyone these days would make the same joke about him
I was today years old when I learned that the Daggerfall cover art depicts the Underking.
