The Importance of Understanding Others’ Reality
When it comes to Covid, not all our immune responses will mirror the exact same response even if were to catch it twice, or we were to catch another virus. Immunity will always give a different response. When it comes to the vaccine, we can still be very poorly. It all depends on our immune response. There are no guarantees.
Covid isn't being spoken about
The politicians have stopped talking about Covid, but people are still discussing the virus, talking about their immunity on community forums, talking about their experiences. People who have caught Covid and who are vaccinated, are still talking about their different immune responses.
Natural immunity and vaccine immunity doesn't last
But natural immunity or vaccine immunity doesn’t last, and like the common cough and flu virus, immunity is constantly changing, so you may not be as immune to new versions of the virus. It’s also the same with the vaccines. Getting Covid multiple times is bad for the immune system, so it is important to take care the necessary precautions once you are better.
The virus isn't going away, and we should be more vigilant. I choose to listen to myself, more than I listen to the government. We can’t assume we’re all going to be okay if we catch Covid.
If you’re not masking up for yourself, perhaps you can think about doing it for someone else. It's about understanding others' reality and thinking of others. You may just save someone from chronic illness, or worse case scenario, from death.
When it comes to the virus, we're being told it's not gone and still no one is safe.
