Undertale and/or deltarune angst fic idea:

Sans in undertale or Kris in Deltarune, or someone like that, shouting at the player/soul like "Leave us alone! Why can't you just LEAVE??"

And Player just sitting here like "Because I don't know if leaving is POSSIBLE!"

Because, y'all, think about this.

Think about this for a second.

Sure, the games are meta/fourth wall breaking.

But they are still games to us.

And when we, the player, stop playing the game.

The game does not progress.

If we stop playing Undertale, or Deltarune, and then start playing again later? No time in the game has passed. Time stands still when the player is not playing.

Do you SEE the angst potential??? Do you feel it in your bones????

An angst fic where the characters desperately want to just live their lives, and the player desperately wants the characters to be able to live their lives, but the problem is that the player is terrified that if they leave... the characters world will just. Stop.

They don't want to interfere like they are, but they can't find a way to exist outside of a vessel, they can't figure out how to live in a vessel without fully controlling it, and they can't leave without risking the world just. Pausing. indefinitely.

I had a utmv harem(??) fic idea, and idk if im ever gonna write it, since im not much of a writer, so I'll put it out into the world in case it miraculously gets to someone who wants to try their hand at it (lmk if you do!). Feel free to ask questions if you want, i put more thought into this idea than what i wrote

Basic skeleharem/antiharem fic setup, machine goes brrr and drags a bunch of alternates into one universe, but Fresh (post loveball, give him some extra feelings) is also there, and stuck bc of hand wavey bullshit i never figured out. Anyway, Fresh is stuck not only in the universe, but in his host (which was already Not New when he got yoinked) bc self preservation. Yknow, most people dont take kindly to soul eating, body snatching parasites in their home and he isnt here to to risk his life for what he thinks will likely be a temporary road block. So he's rationing rn, hes gonna make that little soul last as long as possible (or until hes able to leave, whichever comes first)

Enter Y/N, a human with plenty of excess soul energy they're not using for a currently slightly starving parasite to slorp up. Figure humans already have more ambient soul energy than monsters, but yn here gives off more than average, whether its stronger soul power or just an average soul that leaks more than normal souls, it makes a decent meal. Fresh slightly glues himself to them bc Food, and they become buddies. Yadda yadda, he gets more feelings as time goes on bc hes been using the same host for a while, and either romance or qpr happens, i like the qpr option bc i like emotion having Fresh to still be aroace.

I personally would make it an antiharem if i were to write it, gives me less work for other characters and much more of a reason to have Fresh be concerned about his continued existence (antiharem fics are basically made to have the majority of the cast ooc and mean). In that case i figure the main girl probably doesnt like Fresh very much and avoids him (not much food from her), he shows absolutely zero interest in sex or romance and is too smart for his own good.

TLDR: I made up a fic that tortures Fresh bc i wanna cuddle him

I think I’m going to do two undertale fics with very similar themes but different executions.

A fic exploring Papyrus being the spechiel one, where Papyrus and Sans are experiments of Gaster a la of course. Shit goes down, the core fucks up, and them and Gaster+his team almost fall into the core. Que badass Papyrus powers saving them (of course making this not canon a la no people vanishing from existence). However this is at a price as, while Sans experiments focused on determination, Papyrus’ focused on the void itself. As a result, Papyrus is often called by the void, is compelled to merge with the void etc. He was always good at resisting it, but when he saves anyone and actually, very briefly, touches the void, it’s a lot harder. Que the team moving to Snowdin to help protect Papyrus while trying to figure what the fuck is up with him. Staring Gaster, Papyrus and Sans being little shits and talking in WingDings to confuse the fuck out of Grillby. But yeah, a different approach to the various experimental AU’s, where Gaster isn’t 110% evil and Papyrus is the angst source.

The second one, which of course has three parts because I cannot control myself, is the Papyrus = Gaster fic I’ve been vague blogging about every once in a while. It will have the similar pull to the void but it being Gaster and it being more hallucinations, confusion, temp amnesia, etc. for poor Paps. Frisk shows up, they make the happy, Gaster is able to briefly appear for Chara (where Chara was close to Gaster because fuck y’all) and yatta yatta. Papyrus, propelled by Gaster, tags along with Frisk and Sans does too and they have to deal with trying to get Frisk home + Papyrus having difficulties keeping himself as himself, as Gaster and the void shift, unknowingly trying to take his place. Stuff happens, they get to Asgore, Papyrus disappears, Frisk + Sans fight, they’re at the end part, Flowy tries to kill Asgore but is stopped by Sans, Papyrus shows up, a horrendous form of part him, part gaster, part void, and part the lost human souls. He is able to get Chara to temp leave Frisk’s body and he breaks through/disintegrates the barrier resulting in the loss of the other children’s souls into the void (or are they?), and Chara coming to in a flower of her own (cue flower siblings shenanigans), and resulting in a shut down of the SAVE and RESET function as Papyrus collapses, the void contained inside his body. That’s part one, part two is short with them experiencing the human world, Papyrus having nightmares, Skelebros looking after a kid and two flower kids, etc. It’s wonderful and happy only not. Papyrus giving in to the call of the void to return (aka go back to the core), everyone pulling FRIENDSHIP to rescue him, the lost souls coming back in a very different form, and the void finally leaving, only resulting in Papyrus suffering from having his soul mix fully with Gaster, which results in long healing (part 3) and yeah...

Hmmm so what about an undertale fic where it’s years after the pacifist ending and all of a sudden things reset again but frisk didn’t do it and they are really confused and though sans doesn’t really know what happened but he’s really upset about it. And so frisk has to convince him to help them to figure out what happened and somehow they end up hoping through alternate universes and meet uf!sans gaster!sans and us!papyrus.>...>
