-The Forgotten-
On a lab floor; a pile of dust has blown away into the void, belonging to no one in particular anymore. In time, the dust shall disperse, and no longer will it just be a pile, but it shall cease to even be called dust itself. It will be as if that pile never existed...
Asgore sat at his kitchen table, his large hands encompassing the small mug in his grasp as he read over paperwork... He squinted at the writing, sighing as he took one hand off his mug to sign it with a nearby pen, then gathering himself up to go deliver the letter personally. It would be unlike a king to stay cooped up in his garden all day, so he might as well go out into the town and deal with his kingdom’s problems personally. Life goes on, Tarant remained bored in his parlor.... That stupid robot, constantly barging in to make sure he was abiding by -MTT Standards- and that he was being -fair- with his gambling machines and blah blah blah... It was his business, he wanted to run it the way he pleased! Alas, that is what he gets for renting space in the MTT resort to run it from... Life goes on. Haru adjusted their kimono as they left the golden thread, shivering at the darkness of the international district... It could be worse, they could be living in Snowdin. Still, the crunch of fresh snow there is oddly refreshing... Perhaps they ought to go visit it on one of their days off. Well, if they get any anytime soon. Life goes on. Undyne stood watch over Snowdin... Papyrus mentioned that he was ‘going’ to catch the ‘human’. Was it really a human? Maybe she ought to go check up on him to make sure. Wouldn’t want a ‘human’ giving him too much trouble. Still, she had her post to man, and her guards to lead... Speaking of which, she should be getting that new schedule from Asgore soon... Life goes on. Frisk pushed open the door leading out from the ruins... It was sad they had to leave Toriel behind, but maybe they could come visit her again someday! She looked so sad and lonely, maybe they could find something to give her! For now they just wanted to move on and explore, happily skipping out into the snow as the heavy stone door shut behind them. Life goes on. Adeline woke up in a field, clear of mind, body, and soul... And most importantly, she was surrounded by all her friends and family. She had finally gotten the ending she fought for. Life goes on. The Knight of Zero woke up in snow covered mountains, her head pounding, air ship behind her aflame, and all her comrades missing... Seemed she had work to be done and little time to do so. Life... Goes... On... --- Perhaps it was mindless boredom, or perhaps he really was trying to organize his computer for once. But the boy found himself dragging old computer science projects and notes to the recycling bin, dropping one after another into it as he made room for his new major: Accounting. After clearing his documents, he reminisced about his failed attempt to be a coder. He even got the urge to look through the recycling bin... Perhaps there was something he ought to save in there still, was always good to check. As he scanned over the files, his eyes glazed over a bit... Many being named like project1.cpp, proj1.h, proj2.cpp, and so forth... Except one caught his eye. Royal-Chara.cpp... He remembered that one. Along with the mod he made to put a fire emblem character into Undertale, both of those nearly destroyed his computer, and it wasn’t until he reinstalled undertale clean that his computer began to recover at all... As sad as he was to do so, perhaps it was time to make sure a mess like -that- never occurs again... And with a click of a mouse, he clicked -Empty Recycle Bin- and then -Yes- to confirming his choice. And with that, Claudia ceased to exist forevermore.
