 HE  KNEW  IT  WAS  WRONG  he  hadn’t  gone  to  see  her;  let  her  sit  in  the  shallow  darkness,  swallowed  by  her  own  misery.  There  was  the  truth  that  his  duties  as  king  had  eaten  him  whole;  making  it  damn-near  impossible  to  find  the time  to  visit  her,  but  it  would  be  a  lie  if  he  said  he  wasn’t  avoiding  her.  The  fire  that  had  been  named  Genie  had  flickered  from  a  warm  glow  of  red  to  a  raging  white,  burning  everything  she touched.

 It  was  all  his  fault.

 His  approach  was  quiet,  hands  balled  into  tight  fists  at  his  side  as  the  lock  of  the door  clanked  closed  loudly  behind  him  -  poised  at  the  door,  pale  green  eyes  studying  her hunched  form.

“I’m…from here? Terra? Sol System?” Tankersly was honestly confused as she regarded the other person. “I don’t know what this Dilabor is. You’re on Jade Station Alpha, a research station several hundred light years from Terra, in orbit of…well, the gas giant Jade. We’re an imaginative lot.”

“How did…but that light show…” She made a gesture where Genie had materialized from. She didn’t know of any teleportation tech in existence, Shiva played pretty close to the vest with that sort of thing.

“Uh..Tank?” Leveritt came over the comms again. “There’s no ship out there. Internal records show a rupture in space/time. Remember that bulletin we got about rifts? You just saw one. Now we’re three stranded people.”

“Great, just great.” Tankersly threw her hands in the air, which tossed the empty tank that she’d had in hand to brain Genie before she’d embraced her. It landed with a loud clatter.

“...oops. That’s not good.”

what drew you to the character you currently play? what types of characters are you generally drawn to?

I am drawn to playing villains or anti-heroes. What drew me to Cal is after reading Red Queen, I wanted to make a character from the book. I was originally going to make Maven because I am drawn to bad guys, but someone already made him, so I decided to make Cal. I am very glad to make the decision tbh, because roleplaying Cal makes me like him a hell of a lot more than I did reading the book.
