so we have a banned fc list in my rp, i am thinking of removing it. what do you think i should do?

That’s your call as an admin. If the FCs you have on your banned list are ones that you really are not comfortable having in your roleplay, then it’s your right to refuse. But if your list is more arbitrary (eg, I don’t want this celebrity used because I don’t like them), then it’d be better off gone. Personally, I don’t see any problem with banned-FC lists so long as they’re reasonable.

A few general tips for for banned-FC lists:

duskrph created a list of celebrities who have stated that they don’t want to be used as FCs here, so those are definitely ones that your roleplayers shouldn’t use. That list also includes faces that are up to mod discretion due to, say, criminal records - personally, I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt on that mark, take it with a grain of salt, but that’s up to each individual admin.

If your roleplay is mature or has a high chance of the roleplayers engaging in smut, you should ban under-18 FCs. If your roleplay doesn’t involve smut, there’s no need to put a blanket ban on them.

Do not ban KPOP unless you are banning all pop stars, including Western ones. I get that for some roleplays pop star FCs simply do not fit, but remember that South Korea is far from the only country to have pop stars. (Additionally, remember that many musicians have acting careers as well, so if you want to ban pop stars, be sure to specify musician-only pop stars.)

Some people require that FCs being used in the RP have a certain minimum of available gifs, but remember that some RPers make their own gifs or have gif hunts on their computer that they haven’t shared. Careful not to reject an FC outright due to too few gifs - see if the roleplayer has other means of getting those gifs.

Don’t let personal biases seep into your banned list. It isn’t fair to not let a roleplayer use a certain FC just because an admin had a negative experience with a character with that FC in the past.

I think that anditsxsorrows is an amazing canon Klaus Mikaelson blog. whenever i read their writing i am completely blown away, they understand their character so well and have such a fantastic grip on him. I am constantly in awe whenever i see them on my dash. a brilliant writer.

She's so sweet in and out of character, and she's taken on the motherly role in the roleplay world. Whenever someone's upset or has a problem, immortialionheart is the one we go to. I miss saberedge's Lightning portrayal. I hope she comes back one day. She had a strong grasp on the character because she felt so connected to her and I LOVE that type of writing! She was a favorite of mine and skimming through her blog brings back nostalgic memories! We miss you Sky! <3
