A little something different today from the media staff here at TGM - not a pinup, but an awareness campaign. Trolls Gone Mild is now officially the first publication to have received Imperial permission to discuss and publish images of undocked maroonbloods - a privilege we will certainly not abuse. Local politician Dionas Thramb stopped by our studio with her undocked pet, Coco, to promote responsible pet ownership and the process of adoption for the undocked and unwanted.

“[The undocked are] almost as capable as normal rustbloods,” Thramb asserts, her hand gently ruffling Coco’s hair. “Almost as smart, too. She always has such interesting things to say, they make me feel better about where I stand in the world and in this glorious empire.”

Intrigued, goldblooded columnist Plovir Mosaed took it upon herself to interview Coco - an unorthodox move, or should we say unorthodocks?

Plovir: So, you’ve never wanted to get docked and be a real citizen? Coco: Oh, I wanted to! But once you pass a certain age, the process will almost certainly cripple you. I was orphaned too early and adopted too late to be docked without complications, unfortunately. Plovir: That must be upsetting! Coco: Oh, no, it really isn’t! I like to look at it this way - every creature serves a purpose. Barkfiends make good guards, oinkbeasts put fat on our consumption plateaus, and undocked trolls elevate the hemospectrum! Plovir: You elevate it? How do you figure? Coco: Well, each caste is supported and strengthened by the strength and numbers of the caste below it, so us undocked trolls give docked maroonbloods something to be better than! We hold up the pyramid, every Alternian citizen is a full citizen because there’s something below them, and for docked maroonbloods, that’s us! We’re the foundation that keeps them strong. Plovir: That’s a bold statement! Do you ever regret that you’ll never know love? Coco: Oh, no! If someone tried to quad up with me, they could get tried for bestiality! That would be absolutely horrible! Plovir: Wouldn’t it just? Coco: I know undocked maroonbloods like [REDACTED] get a bad reputation as uncivilized rabblerousers, thieves, deviants, arsonists -- the list goes on! But many of us are just proud of our race, even if we’re lesser than the rest of you. We still have one thing to be proud of: we’re trolls, and even the most crippled, unworthy, and diseased of us is better and more competent than any alien. Plovir: What an uplifting sentiment! Coco: Master Thram thinks so, too!

Many undocked maroonbloods are culled on sight when caught committing petty crimes, but if that seems wasteful to you, it doesn’t have to be that way! You can take one under your wing, no matter what caste you are. Perhaps you can’t afford to purchase real help around the hive, and they are almost as capable as true trolls are!
