يارب اجعلهم يرحلوا من قلبي كما جعلتهم ‏ يغدروا من حياتي

O’ Allah please make them leave my heart, as you have made them leave my life.

I never want to get attached to what will not be mine again.

In arabic we don’t say “you got to me”, we say:

لا السيف يفعل فيني ما انت فاعلٌ.

ولا لقاء عدوي مثل لقياك.

ان بات سهم من الاعداء في كبد.

ما نال مني مثل ما نالت مني عيناك.

“No sword can do to me what you did,

Nor meeting my enemy is like meeting you,

If an arrow from the enemy landed in my liver,

It won’t destroy me like your eyes did.”

“well i opened the window hoping for fresh air, not a storm. sometimes we make choices with pure intentions, unaware of the damage it might bring or leave behind.”
