I saw your reply about Tara's photoshopping in her tag and would like to comment. I wouldn't hate any blogger for photoshopping. With Tara the problem is that she has a blog about healthy living and got famous for her weight loss and hiding her weight gain not only makes her totally unrelatable but hypocritical as well. If she wants to blog about a healthy lifestyle she shouldn't leave out what happens when you let yourself go for a while.
Basically she makes it look so easy when she posts all those yummy meals and people might start wondering how she can stay skinny when she eats unhealthy food. I don’t dislike her at all, I just wish she had owned up to it instead of presenting this false image of herself. And it’s a pretty big difference between her real body and her Photoshop body, honestly it seems kind of like intentional deception.
Keep in mind that it’s really hard and embarrassing for someone who’s a source of inspiration to others and under so much expectation to admit their flaws—I am sure she will make a post about it sooner or later admitting her rebound and weight gain, but know that it’s being under a lot of pressure and under public eye is not easy and we shouldn’t be bashing her, even if she did not pubicly acknowledge her weight gain. I’d hate for people to hate on me if I gained weight and didn’t mention it—I already feel crappy for GAINING weight, you really think I want to deal with social media on top of that?!
Just please keep that in mind. I hate negative criticism on anybody.
