Hi! I was wondering what sort of drawing utensils you use (i.e. Markers, pencils)??

Hey @nightstar-cat!  

Good question: I start with a basic # 2 pencil (Dixon Ticonderoga tend to be the best!) because I find I can erase those pencil lines easiest later. Then I do outlining with various fineliner pens. I like Sakura Pigma Microns for my black lines (though I do have some colored Microns, too, because fab pens are one of the ways I treat myself). I also like Sharpie pens because they don’t bleed through the paper, but they do have a limited color selection. I tend to use the greens I have most.  Probably my best discovery has been the Staedtler triplus fineliners.  That’s where most of my color comes from, though I do have various other pens and markers that I’ve accumulated over the years. I really like the Caran d’ache Fibralo Brush pens that I got fromArtSnacks . Another great Artsnacks box find was the Uni-ball Signo White gel pen! A good white pen is such a nice thing to have!! I’m also a sucker for grey pens!! Jar drawer that I am, I don’t know anyone who gets as excited about grey pens as I do!!

These past couple weeks have been really stressful. I posted a little about it earlier today so I’m not going to repeat myself. But, yeah, it’s been stressful and sometimes hard to stay positive. 

One of my friends told me that if I’m depressed I should try surrounding myself with things that I love. I don’t love food and my favorite person just isn’t close enough that I could see her right now, so I had to resort to actual things that I like. I bought myself a mug and then I ordered some pens from a website called JetPens that I found after I asked @jylstudies about the uni style fit meister I saw in one of her pics. I got the fit meister, and I ordered a grey Sarasa Clip pen, two mildliners to replace the ones I used up, and a Uni Jetstream 0.38mm ballpoint pen. I started using them to take notes in my classes today. The last time I was this excited is when my best friend visited, and she’s visiting this coming weekend! After rolling with some pretty tough punches I’m hoping to relax a little.
