Back in the library! I could not focus or stay awake while trying to study for my developmental psych exam tomorrow. So I called it quits after about an hour and decided I’d go to bed early and wake up early tomorrow. But we’ll see if that actually happens haha.

It’s officially cold. Last week we had highs of 85°F/29°C and now it’s 33°F/0°C and that’s just too drastically different. To the library tonight I wore sweat pants over my leggings as well as a tee shirt, a sweat shirt, and a jacket. If I had a hat I’d put that on too but alas. At least I’ll get to wear a sweater tomorrow!

24/50 days of productivity

You've guessed it, it's another complain about the book I have to study day. I swear I am not this whiny usually, but this book is turning me into a monster. I did finish reading it, but now having to go through all the stuff I have highlighted to write notes seems like an even bigger struggle. I gave up when I wasn't even halfway into everything this afternoon. I will be working on it tomorrow morning, with hopefully a bit more energy, but it's really a struggle, and it's making me so mad? I haven't got this angry at something I had to do in a while. I can't believe this is happening, especially regarding a course on topics I like? I hate how this book is making me feel about my skills, I hate how hard I have to work on it and how much I am struggling with it. I have zero motivation, and my focus is non-existent. Even when back in March I had to read those two terrible books for another exam I didn't struggle this much. I know that tomorrow morning I'll be pissed at myself for not having done that much this afternoon but I really couldn't take it anymore.

Productivity:

read and highlighted the sixth chapter of the book I am studying

read and highlighted the last chapter of this behated book

started writing down notes for these last two chapters (the goal is to be done with everything tomorrow morning, and then to move on studying protohistory of the rest of this week)

updated my reading journal

listened to the latest episode of re:dracula

bare minimum practice of Irish on duolingo (and i got the monthly badge at the last minute, didn't i'd make it this month and yet)

Self care:

read first thing in the morning

tonight I'll go out for dinner with a friend I haven't seen in a while

📖: She Who Became The Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan (It is a crime that I have to study and I cannot binge read this because it's so addictive, and I am regretting not picking this up in the reset weekend I just did. I am loving everything about it so far and I cannot wait to continue reading it)

Well, well, well.... After long months of isolation, I finally spoke to someone from outside :D It really made me feel better, calmer, I smiled the whole time I was out with friends. I miss daily socialization. 

In physics, we started optics, which I really love and it’s probably the only chapter I understand :D So the few following weeks, I might enjoy hated-by-me physics. 

Currently, I have small revising session in bed. Don’t mind the torn periodic table, it’s very old one and survived through many cruel moments of my life with chemistry.

Tomorrow is the longest and toughest day of the week and the last day of March. I probably will have no time to fully enjoy it, but I am very excited for what April is about to bring <3

Three hours in the library tonight! Very proud of my productivity especially since I basically slept all day. If I’m not careful I will become nocturnal, especially with the sun setting before 5 o’clock.

In the library tonight, I started researching for my developmental psych paper. I picked out five articles and read through two of them but I don’t want to work anymore on it since I’m meeting with my professor tomorrow and he could change or alter my topic. I also started reading for my Roman culture presentation for my Latin class. The professor for that class picked our presentation topics, partners, and days of presentation. Which means my developmental paper and final exam will be on the same day as this presentation. Luckily that day is a week and half away which means I’ve gotten a pretty good head start!

Only two days of class this week since it’ll be thanksgiving break in the US which means I’m headed home Tuesday afternoon. Very excited for a break even if I still have to do minimal schoolwork!

My roomate came with me to the library tonight to study. I studied for my advanced accounting exam tomorrow and she studied for her psychology of sleep and dreams exam tomorrow. I made it until the library closed at 11 but she’s an early bird and headed to bed around 9. Over all I got in 4 hours of studying today! Just hope it pays off tomorrow.

I took my developmental psychology exam today and I think it went okay. It was a lot of general common sense stuff which makes the exam easier and also more difficult as I start questioning myself. But in all I definitely passed, I just hope I passed well!

One day down of a new week! We’ve got this! :)

Its killing me not to be as active on here as I’d like to be but finals have to come first sadly. I spent five hours in the library today just studying for my social psych exam and I still have so much left to study. The exam is at one tomorrow so I’m going to try to get some more studying in tomorrow morning and then I’m just going to wing it and hope for the best!

But two finals left until the end of the semester!! :)

Studied for four hours today. I guess this what you call “break”. I took my car into the shop this morning for a regular check up and while I waited I read my book for Latin. I’ve now read 61 out of 97 pages. Then I spent the rest of my study time doing practice questions for advanced accounting. I did 36 questions and wrote each question and answer out on note cards which took forever. But I know each of those 36 questions and why that’s they’re answer!

Besides studying, I got to go play tennis for an hour to get some exercise and get out of the house. And I got to stop by my hometown coffee shop to get some coffee and a muffin!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving so we’ll see if I actually get any work done haha
