Is anyone sick of the constant costume changes that go on in Star Trek?
Like can y’all just find a costume and pick one?
Like the original costume was fine colored shirt, black bottoms, and for the women acute dress that’s it! I love the star logo on the breast outfit.
But it’s just an exhausting, watching every single show change the costume design. How do you justify that universe? I know they don’t address it except I think maybe one Star Trek movie but it was like a passing comment on like the new uniforms or something.
Like it’s a sci-fi fantasy genre let’s keep it simple and not over complicate it!
I also know its Hollywood and everyone HAS to look good on screen so they found out that not everyone looks flattering in a simple shirt so they made up those uniforms , Jonathan Frakes even mentioned how they had to constantly ix their uniform constantly.
I know changes have been made overtime to make it more militaristic, but that’s not fun or creative.
Not to mention Starfleet isn’t military ( inherently, but that’s another conversation for another time😂) but why do we constantly need another visual reminder that they have military background? We understand that from the jargon that they write along about reporting to superiors and code names for different parts of the ship and other military words that go on for how they direct life on the ship as well as go into battle.
The best looking one was from the Star Trek 2009 film!
I love the textured print on it too and they could have used something OTHER Than the Star Fleet logo as the print, but other wise it’s a great design!
and the Starfleet academy uniforms in the 2009 film was amazing too, being all red was great too, because their not promoted or assigned to a ship and still trying and learning.
it Stays true to the OG style, and the texture style looked good. the admirals even had the hideous 80s collard monstrosities but in a flattering gray and a different fabric.
And as for the admirals, they can change the styles for the admirals could have them wear the 80s suits style still but have it be in Stafleet Colors.
I saw this online and someone altered the colors of Kirk crew on the 80s uniform, but with their signed colors on them and I thought that was genius! It’s still fun and colorful and Because they still operate in their areas as admirals.
It looks really good and keeps IT SIMPLE and CONSISTENT.
