It’s Toy Time Tuesday! With...Unimax Fantasy horses- the mystery line! As you can see here, this is an old photo taken by some unknown person that was generally just kind of lost. It’s thought to be from Ebay. It is of “Unimax” product horses...in that the word would be their only marking. Were they 80s? 90s? They had to be from an earlier era. They’ve got a unicorn, though it’s rather angry looking with a snarling mouth and flopped back ears, plus a short horn. There’s a symbol of stars, but it’s the same as for their other horse... A pegasus. However, the wings are broken off for both mother and baby. They looked like a sort of simple hinge type design/maybe it was easy to break.  The fantasy colors are great here though! There’s white and pink, plus silver & blue for the unicorn & a nice aqua with pink and white for the pegasus. The hair looks like maybe fading-pink? The sculpt for everyone is nice as well, this era though, that’s expected. In the earlier times toy companies would hire people that knew what horses looked like & thought they were beautiful. (Now they....mostly don’t so you get faces without features and big gummy-limbed dogs or gnarly ‘goofy cartoon’ dog/pig-face things) Why the unicorn is so angry though...do you want an upset toy? There could be janky sculpting somewhere about them, the photo is kind of in poor shape being as old as it is, but they look pretty decent. They look like they’re fairly large, Grand Champions size at least. These are probably really rare because nobody knows what they are. Where were they sold? When? Are there more or was this some kind of set? I would certainly collect these or consider it based on price.
