yeah, no, Six White Boomers is legit. I have vivid memories of singing it in primary school. the lyrics include santa having to basically ditch half his traditional outfit because it's too bloody hot in Australia for a fur lined coat and boots, Santa, obviously.
Things I have heard thus far about Australian Santa:
He takes off his clothing
He has kangaroos instead of reindeer
He rides around with a baby kangaroo in his sleigh sometimes
He narrowly avoided dying by cyclone
He flies directly into the sun
