Lighting Design Project: Capturing primary images
-Over this past weekend I visited my city centre and took photographs of buildings and structures that had repetition and pattern which I found exciting and unusual to help me form inspiration for the 3D Design project which I later found was on lighting design.
-Above are some of my most successful images, I believe these photographs will help me in my group project as there is evidence of repetition in more than one means including pattern, colour and shapes. When on location I thought about which angles would portray the repetition well, I took a lot of images with an upwards angle to capture how repetitive the designs of the buildings were as well as adding a better sense of depth.
-To improve my primary images I would consider capturing images of buildings that were older but still had repetition as I found the majority of the buildings I shot were contemporary and made of similar surfaces like metal and glass as opposed to bricks and tiles.
