i know there’s always a talk around how kpop fans prefer boygroups to girlgroups (and even hate ggs bc ???) but i think that shows like the unit or mixnine really makes me realize that even more...

i mean i haven’t watched mixnine so idk how the reactions to the girls were during the show, but let’s just say i knew even from before the show started that the boygroup would win, and i wasn’t surprised when it happened.

as far as the unit, i personally thought it was pretty 50-50, but the show focused slightly more on the boys than the girls. and now i actually looked at the amounts of votes from the final elimination and it’s just... sad. #1 for the boys got 165k, while #1 for the girls got only 108k. the #2 for the girls got only 80k, which was less than both #2 AND #3. but the saddest part was that the last of the boys (#9) got 74k, which was more than - wait for it - the #5 of the girls. that’s pretty insane, and sad.

and even with the idols who didn’t make it to the top9 - immediately fans created a group for the eliminated boys who ranked 10-18, but the girls? i haven’t seen anyone talking about them. maybe they mentioned them once, but the focus is only on the boys.

and even on their new official twitter accounts, u.n.b already have like 4.5k followers while uni.t only have like 2.5k.

tl;dr go stan uni.t they’re amazing girls and they work just as hard (if not harder *cough* cherry on top team) a the boys. they deserve so much more than what they’re getting.
