Collectible patches from the U.S. Air Force's 40th Flight Test Squadron "Sensor Division" at Eglin AFB

Latin motto "Non Satis Est Videre," which translates to "To See Is Not Enough".  The 40th FLTS's mission involves testing and evaluating new sensor technologies for various aircraft.

So as part of my recent brainstorming, I came up with a patch design for Peppino and Gustavo's unit in the Great War!

Some lore behind it: the 43rd Infantry, the "Broken Wings," was a former Air Force unit that was changed to an Infantry unit due to lack of equipment. The stylized airplane, as well as the wings, represent their air roots, while the diamond, plus the one folded wing, indicates their status as an infantry unit. As Peppino and Gustavo were the only survivors of that unit, the patch and designation have been discontinued.

The wings by themselves are the chosen design if a unit member ever got a tattoo of it, and Peppino and Gustavo both have it: on their left shoulder blades.

My son Scott drew my unit patch. I included it in a book as an illustration
