I write the Tower Town UA, and draw when I feel like it. Pizza Tower is my primary fixation, I used to play FFXIV regularly, but I had to step away. I also like Castlevania, Hollow Knight, Antonblast, Avatar: TLA, and whatever else has caught my eye at the moment. Hope you enjoy your stay!

I apologize if I'm not on here as often as I used to
Shit has been so fucked up for the past year+ that it's just left me in a state of perpetual shock and dread. I know I shouldn't complain cus others have it much harder, but I'm just so angry all the time. I still am drawing but it's hard to wanna post or engage with cute fun fandom stuff when the world feels like it's ending. Fuckkkk
I completely sympathize. This is my exact situation as well. With this bunch of troglodytes tearing down every good thing in the country, I just can't focus on creation. I've tried so many times in the last year, and every time I try, it feels like the part of me focused on survival starts screaming - "What are you doing, you shouldn't be wasting time, the world is burning!" I can't say my mental health is good at all. I'm not suicidal or anything like that - I'm just on constant alert for the newest fuckery. That's exhausting. I feel so sorry for young people in this country. I, at least, got to experience a bit a world that wasn't constantly on metaphorical (and sometimes literal) fire.

So weird fun fact: most carnivores like cats can't taste sugars but dogs *can*. They can actually taste a full range of flavors like us with some diminished (makes sense) with an extra set of tastebuds just for water. I assume this is because they evolved along side us and we tend to feed them odd table scraps, and multiple foods are good for them (carrots, apples, cantaloupe, berries) and even in the wild wolves will eat berries on occasion.
Now to my point. That dog can taste whatever comprises that pizza roll and might just... like it? Kinda like how we have weird favorites buddy might just like pizza rolls. Depending on the dog prey drive and sensations like that he might think it's prey like but it doesn't sound or smell like one that's for sure, and taste would be funky. They can not only smell a hell ton better than us but it still probably does not smell like prey and more "the weird snack i like". Dog toys that simulate prey are prey shaped a squeak and if your pizza roll squeaks I fear for your microwave.
I also fear this is so simplified.
ALSO NOT AN EXPERT
Simple doesn't mean wrong. You've pretty much hit the nail on the head - dogs have evolved alongside us. We shared a lot of traits related to food already, so we got along nicely from the start. They even developed basic facial expressions so they could relate to us more. Dogs are also one of the few animals that can understand what pointing means - even other apes can't always get that one.

Figured I'd reblog this, because it's the exact reason I've been so quiet lately. Sorry if anyone feels like I've been ignoring them... but life has just been too much lately. I have ideas, I want to continue, but I just do not have the energy. Especially with my country basically having turned into an authoritarian nightmare, run by a pack of insane people bent on revenge against their rivals, the world, and even their own people.

They had to add 39 new circles to Hell just to accommodate the sheer volume of sinners. Satan had to file a workman's comp claim because he strained his wings trying to keep all the Cocytus sinners frozen. He's also had to bring in understudy demons to help.

Man, it might have been hotter than the wildest circles of hell this summer, but plants are loving it. Some of them, anyway.
That's just today. The peppers were our neighbors' - they moved out and told us we could have them. They brought them from Mexico with them, so they're the real deal.
These tomato seeds are also some my Mom bought last year. She never got to see them planted, much less grow. But they've done amazingly well.
Gonna keep a lot of these for planting next year. My backyard is gonna be a jungle.

One of the weird side effects of clones is that they, somehow, share memories on occasion, even if the clone didn't get memory-flashed, as was the case with Giuseppe and Peppino. As a result, Peppino will occasionally get flashes of "memory" from Giuseppe's life, and vice-versa. The phenomenon has gotten attention as the truth of clones has been explored. It's assumed to be something related to just how alike a clone and their original are genetically - like the universe itself occasionally has trouble telling them apart. It also seems to get stronger with proximity.
In Fake's case, they did receive some of Peppino's DNA during their - for lack of a better term - creation. As a result, they occasionally get these memory flashes, too, but they're more subtle. They realized it was happening when they greeted someone they'd never met before and knew things about them they shouldn't have known. The memories had just implanted themselves in their brain without preamble or fanfare. Despite it only happening a couple of times, Fake finds this incredibly disturbing. They worry that someday enough of Peppino/Giuseppe might sneak in to essentially make them a True Clone of one or both of them.
This won't happen; with five different personalities, there's now almost always one watching for such things. But the idea of being essentially overwritten - even by someone they consider a friend - for someone who suffered such a horrible identity crisis once already - is terrifying.
Wish I felt like drawing. I know it can't be forced, but not wanting to is a symptom of bigger issues, and I'd like them to not rule my life like they have for months now.
Of course, it being a heptillion degrees outside lately isn't helping.
