Commission for @unkledeath of their character "Ezra"
Question 3 for Zephyr!
From this ask game!
What are the major choices in your character's personal quest? Do they have a "good" and "evil" path? Which one will they take without player intervention? How hard is it to convince them otherwise?
I don't think Zephyr has an evil path but their default mode is Asshole Who Doesn't Care About Other People. (Though I mean, depends on your definition of evil, I guess. They're not out there sacrificing hundreds of people to gain power in a devilish ritual, but they do start out willing to take plenty of objectionable jobs for coin.)
The main "crisis point" in their personal quest is discovering they knew a bit more about the Absolute plot than they let on to begin with—they were tadpoled and under Absolute control for weeks before the rest of the party and lied about having only just become infected to avoid people deciding they were too close to becoming a mindflayer and killing them. They knew about Gortash's involvement, and got tadpoled by him personally, and also he's their dickhead brother. When this comes out, they immediately go on the attack before the player has a chance to get upset at them, lashing out and being an asshole.
To get them on the good path, you have to be patient and understanding and not get mad at them back. You can call them out on their behaviour, but you have to be willing to forgive and offer them a second chance to Not Be An Asshole. Being shown forgiveness and grace in the face of fucking up had Zephyr opening up a bit, and generally starting to be a bit kinder in the way they approach the world. So ig, it's pretty easy to get them on a good path as a player who's just pressing buttons (you don't even have to do a persuade roll for it) but as a roleplay character, it might be more difficult. I love good end!Zephyr, but I'm not going to blame anyone for responding in kind to Zephyr's needless verbal attacks.
The other main choice is how you handle Gortash. There might be a way to spare him without allying here, but given who he is, probably not. They don't disapprove of killing him, but if you want to keep them on the good path, you are going to need to show them some sympathy after killing their brother (no matter how much they might claim he deserved it).
ART FIGHT - Master of Beasts, Keeper of the Dead
Now this one is one my favorites because I wanted to be more bold with the colors of the background and I liked the final results. Unkledeath was spot on with the character design and loooove Soren's stare that just pierces into my soul.
(OC) Soren Zahle belongs to @unkledeath
If you’re still doing them, EzGort? 👉👈
Loveeee a "one of them is horribly abusive but the other also gets to be deeply toxic and unpleasant and there's absolutely a power play/the two of them plotting against each other," dynamic going on. I hope Ezra murders Gortash but I also hope they have a lot of under-negotiated, kinky sex first. Gotta read more of them soon.
Hello tag, now I feel the need to start inflicting/bringing my constant musou ramblings over to here from That Place, I'd like to introduce you to my own lil Samurai Warriors OC, Tsutsui Junkei, art and visual design design by the fantastic and wonderful @unkledeath. A little 'intro' blurb beneath the read more. It's nice to feel more confident about the OC game, haha. :)
