“Do you know how to play ‘Don’t Start Un-Believing’?”
27, 30, 32
27: What is their biggest regret?
not being able to help as many people as he could have. not all cases can be saved, and he learned that the hard way.
30: Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies)
it depends, honestly. when his grandmother died, Norman was just sort of prepared for it. of course, it hurt like hell, and he was deeply upset at the fact that she was officially gone completely, but he at least found peace in knowing that she moved on, with the full hope that he’d do great things. if it were an unexpected event, however, Norman would be incredibly emotionally shaken.
32: Thoughts on material possessions in general?
he has some material possessions that mean a lot to him; his journals that he’s written countless stories that ghosts have told him, his mug that’s shaped like a bat, a scarf that his grandmother knit for him that, sometimes he still likes to wear. there are some things that mean a lot to him, but others he sort of just thinks ‘eh, i can lose this’.

Deep breaths, Fiddleford. And think about soothing banjo music, if there is such a thing.

Breathing and banjos does sound good.
Yes, there is such a thing, Stanford.
what's Fiddleford's least favourite food?
Mayonnaise. Sure, there’s worst tasting stuff, but since mayonnaise is so common it’s the one he’s gotta deal with the most.
Your portrayal seems very good! Your headcanons fill him out nicely and his personality shows very well through your prose
author. Thanks a lot! Considering that some of my headcanons have been challenged in the past––like the GAD one for some odd reason––I’m really happy that you like them! Honestly, I feel like my prose could be better, but hey, we can all improve! Again, thanks for the input!
// ohh &also didn’t mchale say wirt’s costume was specifically based on an /awesome/ rock alter-ego he’d created for himself at that age? i like to think it made wirt feel cool & powerful & actually gave him confidence
I hope you don’t mind if I post this but the world must know. McHale did, in fact, base Wirt’s costume off of his rock alter-ego, but it gets even better:
“They were elements taken from, embarrassingly enough, a rock & roll persona that I used to daydream about. I bought a civil war cape and made a red hat like this and used to play electric guitar in my apartment. But of course i never performed anywhere. So eventually I used the outfit for Wirt.”
you are absolutely right my same-named friend, I bet the costume does give Wirt confidence. perhaps it even makes him feel like a rockstar. seriously, people like playing dress-up for a reason: they feel more-than they actually are, they feel like royalty or a rockstar or whatever. if you like the costume you’re in it can be a major confidence boost.

✌ What’s one thing that you love about your muse?
o n e. alright, I really love his costume & his attitude towards it. he’s so socially awkward & self-conscious but he puts on this outfit that literally makes no sense - a Civil War coat & a red hat, who would ever come up with such a thing? & then instead of being embarrased by it when he’s called out he just goes with the flow. Wirt’s not the most confident character, but it was nice to see him be more confident in this one scenario. he wears the costume, accepts the titles of gnome & pilgrim without much backlash, & it looks like he had fun with the costume considering the sequence where he first puts it on & his body language thereafter as he included the cape & hat into his movements & actions. there’s tons of other things I love about him but that outfit of his needs appreciation.
♡ Most wanted AUs?
my favorite AU has actually been the guide to the lost verse, but there are some I’d like to try soon. mainly the Adelaide AU where he does stay with Adelaide & he becomes her puppet. I need that AU in my life. also a Welcome to Night Vale AU would be cool. honestly I’m not that great at AUs so the guide & Adelaide verses have been my main wanted ones.

((Clover isn’t entirely sure just how long exactly she spent in the Unknown, just that she’s been there for years. She sort of lost track of time long ago. Things like the moon not changing phase or taking forever to do so despite the day/night cycle working normally certainly did not help. She suspects time doesn’t really work the same way in the Unknown but she has no idea how it does exactly.))
