I have so many pieces that need to be finished. My room is literally filled with sketches.
First time using copics.
I will address a few things about The Hound/Sandor:
Not dead because:
-gravedigger from the books(height and wounds match, his horse is there, likes dogs)
-has unfinished busyness with his brother, Sansa and himself
-the character was too much developed to just be dropped
-the Hound is liked by both book readers and non-readers
-Rory is awesome
-the show runners won't drop him because of the ratings and fandom
-he has a larger role to play later(remember Bran's vision about the three figures around Sansa and Arya: A hound, A golden one and one that is made of stone.
-they pretty much cleared it up in the show that Gregor becomes Ser Robert Strong
-Sandor is probably a replacement for Arya and Sansa's dire wolves
-Robert tells Ned to get Sansa a dog
-Sansa thinks of Lady and wonders if she will meet her if she dies>>after that thought the Hound makes his presence known
About the so called pedophilia between Sandor and Sansa:
-In Westeros the 'old enough to bleed, old enough to breed' rule applies
-Stop filtering the books through a modern perspective
-Even in reality ,centuries ago, it was common for young girls to marry old men for financial security and old men used to marry young girls to produce more heirs.
-example: Poe married his 13 year old cousin when he was 27.
-stop insulting people for stating their opinions
-stop denying the bond that is between Sansa and Sandor
-stop saying that we read too much into their actions and we overreact
-I'm just gonna leave this here:
' I think every writer appreciates attentive reading of his work. We labor over these books for years, after all. Then they come out, and the readers gulp them down in days or even hours. Which is very gratifying, in one sense, but can also be frustrating, if we feel that they are missing all the grace notes and little subtleties and clever allusions and ironies and turns of phrase that we sweated blood over for so long. I try to write books that will stand up to rereading, so that every time you go through you will find more to appreciate... and therefore I'm thrilled when readers tell me that they do reread the books.' GRRM
-If you don't see the little hints then maybe you should read the books again and again.
-I am not even a full Sansan shipper. And I hate that word. But after reading the books I saw that there is something there.
-Stop being hypocrites. A lot of people call Dany stupid because she doesn't accept Jorah's romance. He has three times her age. But you still root for him to get out of the friendzone and into Dany's heart and pants.
-You all love Dany(13) and Drogo(30). And they have rough sex. There is also a pregnancy.
- I am just stating my honest opinion about this subject.
-Don't take every word Sandor says as having the exact meaning. It is known that he is damaged, he saves both Sansa and Arya, but he is violent in speech and manners. Read between the lines and look behind words to see the true meanings.
-I don't really care if they go the romance path or the defender path (Sondor comes from Alexander and means 'defender of man') as long as he gets closure.
-his last words mean something else than you think...but you are too busy with the fuck part.
-don't trust what showrunners say. It is obvious they want to mislead us (just like Lena and the heart made of stones).
bonus:
-cloak symbolism
-Sansa's fake memories and dreams
-Sandor's mentioning Sansa quite often.
-Sansa wants to sing the song of florian and jonquil and Sandor refuses
-Sandor asks for this song when he comes to her chamber
-Florian (a knight), better known as Florian the Fool, is the main character of a tale about falling in love with a maiden named Jonquil
-Sandor is pretty messed up and just as confused as Sansa
-Sandor cries two fucking times and it is somehow related to Sansa. The other time he cries is when he is burnt during the fight with Beric.
-We see that 2 things make him vulnerable: Fire(because of what happened to him as a child) and Sansa (because she reaches to him, and awakens the true knight in him; she shows compassion to him when nobody did...not even his family)
And there is so much more to it...but I am too sleepy to write more.
EDIT:
Some people didn't fully understand what I was trying to say. Maybe my English is not that great.
Rape in not ok. Incest is not ok. Pedophilia is not ok.
But they are often subjects of books/movies/comics. This is when we need to understand the difference between fiction and reality.
When I say that you should't filter medieval-like fiction through modern eyes I mean that it might take away from the reading experience. Sexism, rape, murder, pedophilia, torture>these are common even in real history. It's nothing new. And it still happens. Do I agree with it? No. These are horrible acts. But I can't change history or fiction.
If GRRM wants to make a relationship between Sandor and Sansa...nothing will stop him. And if he doesn't want this..nothing can make him do it.
One of the most famous novels ever written is 'Lolita' by V. Nabokov. It is a story about the relationship between a 12 year old girl and a 37 year old man. Do I agree with the age gap? No. But I can look beyond it in order to get the full reading experience.
There is a 20 year old gap between Jane Eyre and Mister Rochester / There is a 8 year old gap between Mytrei and Allan. What I am trying to say is that huge age gaps between characters is pretty common in literature. And it's something that happened in life as well. Especially centuries ago.
I already stated that I don't care if Sandor will have romance with Sansa or not. All I want is for him to get closure, to get a finished story.
So don't get me wrong. You can filter everything and in every way you want. Different readers, different opinions.
But don't attack people for stating different opinions. I can accept different opinions if they are delivered politely. The reason I wrote this huge wall of text is because I saw a lot of hate and insults towards some people that share the same views as I am. And it doesn't feel right. I think we shouldn't turn on each other over fiction.
And about Dany and Jorah. There is a horde of shippers on facebook and other sites.
PS. GRRM wanted to include a 5 year old gap at some point and if I remember well he said something about how he wished he has made the characters older.
