Headquarters for the Order of the Phoenix changed every few months. The current place belonged to Dorcas Meadowes’ late great aunt. The house smelled like old lady’s perfume and hard candy and dust, but it was considerably larger than their last headquarters. The meeting room was in the large kitchen, where other Order members were now filing out. 

Sirius took his time saying goodbye to Remus and Peter-- he hardly saw them nowadays. Then he joined James in the corridor outside. “Lily let you off for drinks?” Sirius smirked, bumping the other man’s shoulder.

Letter to an unborn brother

Dear brother, I miss you. All I know for sure in this world is that I miss you. There is an emptiness in my being that calls for your company, a longing I know will never be filled in this life. Too many days do I wish we were in each other's place. I find myself lost Somedays, wondering who I am, in turn I wonder who you might have been. I feel as if I don't deserve the gift I received, and maybe you would have done more with it than me. Our youngest brother still doesn't know about you, and I'm not sure he ever will. I don't want him to feel as if he's only filling the void that is you. More than anything I wonder what we would have been as brothers. Among the four Daley's boys I am the black sheep, and I can only wish that you would have been the other, saving me from the loneliness I go through every family dinner. I don't know brother.
