Writing Update
Hello everyone, a necessary update. This is being posted on Patreon as well so that I make sure everybody interested in supporting my writing sees it.
Guys I love you all very much but im being so for real please stop asking me to draw MLM and hetty ships, I know I did a few in the past but right now the odds of me actually drawing those are close to zero im sorry. I'm totally all for drawing guys by themselves but I'm a lesbian and I don't care about drawing romance involving men like 95% of the time
certified benji rant about not understanding shit bc im aroace LOL please send help (/gen i need Advice ™️, see tags after)
i think marriage as a concept is fine, right? you love someone enough you want to have this grand gesture that's like "i love you and want to love you forever". it's kinda sweet, even. it is not, however, lost to me how allo the whole thing is. allo, heteronormative, and religious in many such cases. there's just this whole idea that the end goal of being with someone, particularly romantically, is to marry them and 'settle down' one way or another. it's just so tied to the nuclear family for me i cannot separate it. especially when you can just marry your friend if you want to even if for legal reasons. which is another thing that bothers me! if marriage is supposed to be this connecting, maybe spiritual and/or religious thing, the fact it's also intertwined with legality rubs me the wrong way. because now you have a government document telling you you love someone enough. like no, actually, i don't think i should have to be married to prove my love or do certain legal things. why is the government involved in my relationships by default once i get married too? that's weird i don't like that.
i dunno... i have a lot of trauma related to marriage on top of the fact i'm aroace, so my understanding of relationships is much different than someone who's allo. i feel like marriage in the society i live in overcomplicates something that shouldn't be so complicated??? i just can't really see the difference between things like promise rings/jewelry or outright just being like "hey i love you a lot i hope we're together for a long time". i do understand it can be a cultural thing and i think it can very well be a beautiful thing but again, i am not lost to the fact marriage is seen as an 'end goal' when to me the end goal is just... being happy? and i can be happy with anyone in any type of relationship, doesn't have to be romantic which marriage focuses way too much on imo
I don’t think I ever posted this but he’s here now about a week late 🦇✨✨✨
so i played earthbound,
I don't think it's okay to use nightow's artwork to make yourself some money selling stickers of it.
While funny edits and memes of official content are commonly made and sold by creators and I understand it is a topic of debate for many reasons, as I say in the post and on the page, it isn't about the money and I think I'd have to sell hundreds to even make much profit! I did a lot of calculations and the price is close to the supplies/costs/the size of the small print run/etc., and while I'm not the best at math, the cents leftover per sticker aren't adding up to much and--again, like I said in the post--will be spent getting leftovers in case of errors if it's enough. If someone chooses to leave a tip for running bookclub, I'm grateful, but a vast majority of people don't and that's fine and what I expect. The point is having fun and celebrating bookclub! The amount of people who wanted a sticker/badge of completion was enough that I really wanted to do something for you guys.
TL;DR: As I said in the original post, this was designed for fun, not money. Transparency is personally very important to me and I try to be as honest as I can whenever possible. Of course, I'm a stranger on the internet, you should take that with a grain of salt, but I do try to be clear about my intentions.
hey you guys remember when hair over 10k was considered crazy highpoly and was avoided? me either.
