Juat had an interesting chat with a friend so like, idk who else might need to hear this but you don't have to hate your family to want to leave. If you think you would be happier or healthier away from them that's all the reason you need.

You dont have to hate them. You don't have to think they're evil or malicious. You don't have to think they aren't trying. You dont have to think its their fault. You're allowed to want to keep them in your life in some capacity. You're allowed to still love them.

There isnt some cosmic misery threshold you must cross to be allowed to ride the roller-coaster. If leaving will make your life better, you owe it to yourself to leave. If you're waiting for permission, here it is <3

Another thing I dislike about humanity is that people will literally believe in ANY nonsense. 😒 We, as species, survived, evolved and advanced this far because we cared about our disabled, sick and old. And coincidentally, most of the "smartest" animals also show compassion to their vulnerable.
