More bookstore pics. Did some research today for my archaeology paper at the nearby coffee shop. I’m doing it on Peggy Piggot because we LOVE women archaeologists in this household.
Although university has just started, lots has happened in a short amount of time; met lots of new friends, participated in lots of events, seen lots of amazing sights. But this is just the start of a long, but great journey.

Today my focus is on my political science and Canadian history courses. I am hoping to finish a project and listen to a few lectures. Last night my roommate and I watched The Grinch on Netflix. I have to admit, I like the newer one! I feel like all three of the Grinch movies have different vibes, but are all really good. I also watched Linh Truong’s new video, and now I want to save up to build my own PC someday. Tonight I might play some Among Us with friends on Discord once I am finished my work for the day. I hope you are having a lovely day!
Winter Studying Challenge - 6th December - Do you get a break from school/uni/work during the winter?
Yes, we normally have our winter break from a few days before Christmas to early January. This year our winter break actually got extended by a week due to Covid-19, so I will be on break until January 11! That also means that our winter semester is extended by a week in total though, so I might not like it as much in April. Overall, I am just very excited to see my parents and cats since I haven’t seen them since October.

I didn’t have a chance to announce this on my personal social media due to juggling finals while preparing for this, but now I have time to say that I’m a part of the Intermission 2021 Bachelor of Fine Arts Grad Show at the University of Alberta in the FAB Gallery! 14 of my paintings from 2019 to 2021 are in the show alongside the artwork of other great artists from my graduating year, which you can check out by booking an hour at the gallery through their phone number (780-492-2081) or email ([email protected]) if you’re in the Edmonton area!
But if you can’t go for whatever reason, you can check out the Intermission Website for artist statements and a 360 degree photo tour of the entire FAB Gallery Space!
Please check out the show if you can, I, my fellow soon-to-be BFA Grads, and the University of Alberta’s Visual Arts Student Association worked super hard to make art and ensure that we could have both a physical and online gallery to ensure access to our show!
