So like— my mother brought me out to the coffee shop earlier and we had a talk. Yummy coffee.

Did not start well, a bunch of accusations, a bunch of her thinking she knows everything and not letting me talk. A lot of "you're dangerous and trying to destroy this family." Eventually we got to a point where we were having a normal conversation, though.

I explained a lot about how I felt, and I didn't cry this time! :D

She explained a bit, and eventually the conversation turned towards a lot of different things in our life. One being the topic of why I had to live with my grandma since I was little and I wasn't able to see her. So like— a bunch of topics.

At the beginning of the conversation she mentioned "and I'm not getting you the haircut you want" BUT by the end of it she said "I'll talk to mom (grandma) about a haircut"

So I'm trying to be on better terms with her. She did say that no matter how old or what I look like, I'll still be her "little girl". Which I guess makes sense. But she also said "Don't focus on being an (age)-year-old boy— not even an (age)-year-old girl. Just focus on being an (age)-year-old kid. Because you don't have much time left before you're an adult." Which meant a lot.

She also encouraged me to pursue my art as a job and going to an art school/college, and streaming/YouTube. So we're trying to be better. She's not all bad, she's just looking out for her kid in the wrong way. But she's trying.

Of course that doesn't excuse some things she's said, but she's had a rough life when it comes to all her kids. I don't hate her, and I'm hoping she can talk as much sense that she has into my grandma, and maybe we can progress from here :3

Finally got the last thumbnail drawings for the secrets in our quills commissions approved by nebrasska! That means i can get started on them this week, yipee!!!!
