Make me choose: Single father R whose child's teacher is Enjolras, and Enjolras doesn't approve of R until he realizes how much R loves his child, OR secretly-an-author R who writes thinly veiled books about the amis except E loves him back in those?

THE SECOND ONE WITH THE PASSION OF A THOUSAND SUNS.

I love publishing AUs. There should be more publishing AUs.

And Enjolras reads the books and he loves them because the characters are everything he's passionate about, and he identifies so much with the main character's love interest.

He also starts developing a crush on the main character, not realising that same fluttery feeling he gets when he reads scenes with the two of them in it is the same feeling he gets when he and Grantaire spend time alone together.

He starts piecing together Grantaire's identity when one rather memorable debate turns up in the next novel, followed by small snippets of interactions he's had with Grantaire in private. And he has to take a moment to reconcile the two identities (three, if you're counting the characters).

Then he flies off to one of Grantaire's book signings in a different city (Grantaire refuses to do them at home because someone might see), lines up for an autograph, and then sets the book down on the desk. He opens it up to the dedications page (which says: to my sun and stars), and asks Grantaire to please sign.

As soon as Grantaire does and puts the pen down shakily, Enjolras smiles at him and sticks around for him to finish the event. No one says anything about the way he has his head resting against Grantaire's shoulder during the book reading, holding hands, with Enjolras helping Grantaire turn the pages and Grantaire thanking him with kisses to the top of his head.

Make me choose.

But I'm watching Supernatural and am almost caught up! Just a few more episodes, then I'll be watching Legend of Korra for a while!

so it's kind of a weird question you ask, if they can die or not. short answer: no. long answer: of course they can, but marvel refuses to ever keep them dead. For example, at the end of the civil war series, Steve was shot several times and died. He got buried in the ice where he was found, it was very emotional, Tony gave a heartbreaking speech. Bucky eventually took over the mantle of Captain America. Then they brought Steve back to life through a convoluted plot b/c they can't let him die.

if you don't think fox news praised steve rogers before he was thawed out only to have him spring back and publically be against everything they stand for, leaving them disillusioned and fighting back, meanwhile looking kind of stupid, we can't be friends
