So for your MLP Weapons AU, is there like…a set protagonist? Or is it supposed to be like a video game where the player (or reader in this case) is supposed to see themselves in the adventure?

Also is there any way for the soul/pony inside the weapon can communicate with the wielder? Maybe a ghostly image only they can see, telepathy, or talking in dreams? It’s cool if you don’t, just wondering/I kinda like that trope.

TLDR: The Weapons AU is an RP setting.

Not an RP with me specifically, but more like... If you see the AU and you/your friends want to make OC's to fit the role of the 'New Elements' kind of deal. I think roleplay is a fun way to interact with each other and make your own stories!

(Plus it means I don't have to make yet another comic series LMAO)

I'm like the DM, showing you who's in the world and the challenges you could face along the way. You make the characters, I'll make the adventure!Most of the ponies I design are going to be allies, altered characters, or villains. I might even make some YCH stuff so people can add their own characters to the art of the AU!

As for the spirits....

Yeah! There's definitely a way for the Spirits to communicate and interact with their users! I really do like the idea of having their 'ghost' be visible to the user, because that allows for me to draw them. I imagine they'd also use telepathy in fights when they need to communicate quickly.

The dreams though... Hm. That's an interesting one. I do think the Spirits of the Elements are capable of that, but the realm of dreams is where Nightmare Moon's power lies...

Nightmare Moon/Luna could definitely sense the Spirits appearing in their users dreams. That might be the way the current user of Nightmare's Harvest finds the New Elements and starts hunting them. Doing so may put the New Elements in peril as they search for their weapons...

Dangit, now I need to know what each of them was like as a baby/child. Have you thought about that at all?

yes! Somewhat! Not sure what would or wouldn't be spoilers but generally they were like:

Shelly: Loud and bossy, insisting everything had to be a certain way and even worse about it towards games. She got VERY strict about any games she would play in even if it annoyed other kids. Despite this she would always make sure to include other kids who were left out and was overall a very sweet kid.

Chase: Like Shelly very loud but more aggressive. Often got into fights with other kids especially when they didn't believe him over things. He also fought with his older brother almost all the time. used to go camping with his dad and brother but never liked it. Barely remembers any outdoor skills his dad tried to teach him

Lincoln: If you did not have this kid tied to you, you would not see him for hours. Often got lost and sent his parents into a panic however he would always turn up. He had trouble with saying things without filter but learned to keep his feelings to himself. Embodying the "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything" and there are plenty of people in his current life he 'doesn't have anything to say on'. After an event in his childhood, he got picked on for a few years for his odd fear. Eventually the bullying stopped as he claimed he 'got over it' but he just got better at hiding it.

Ozzy: Despite being quiet and reserved when he was younger he had no trouble making friends, but his condition forced him to stay inside while others played outside. Feeling disconnected from his peers he drew inward, as all his friends inevitably drifted away he preferred to keep to himself. This only worsened after an incident. Eventually being homeschooled by his mom's he was really only close to them. He's very much a mama's boy x2

Katie B: A very artistic kid she loved arts and crafts and often could be found covered in glue and rhinestones. She took ballet for a few years and various other dance classes. This kid also LOVED talking and she almost seemed to never stop. Anything that was on her mind had to be known by everyone around her. Sometimes she accidentally said something 'rude' or 'improper' however she was such a cute kid most forgave her. But this was a habit she never seemed to grow out of.

We need a Total Drama contestant who often references a past experience with a summer camp while on the island.

Over time, it becomes increasingly clear that they were the Final Girl/Boy/Whatever of a slasher/horror situation (think Friday the 13th) that went down at that camp.

@ur-typical-nerd had an idea for a Cuphead AU, thinking of calling it ‘Cup Of Judgement’ and I wanted to draw out the characters because I thought it was cute. I made a little bit of changes.

I gave Henchman a lil hat because I thought it was cute since he doesn’t have horns yet. 

I think Devil would have a more cat-like tail and ears until he gets older.

I think Dice would be an orphan who lives off from scamming people and then he meets Devil and Henchman. Dice and Devil still fall in love but it’s more puppy love-ish (Is that what it’s called?).

Iris is the tired dad of Devil and Henchman (Who’s named Harold). He lives with them both on Earth because he’s worried someone was going to hurt/lock up Devil because he’s a demon.

I wasn’t sure with Cuphead’s beard design. After I drew the first one I started drawing the other two versions. I think I like the mustache and the full beard better, I wanted him to look a bit more mischievous or evil so I thought that would work. Something about Mugman kinda reminds me of Luigi so I just gave him a bit of a Luigi mustache. So the spoons can be used as weapons. Cuphead’s spoon can turn into that spear/staff.

Chalice is still a ghost but she’s trying to be an angel.
