Just a heads-up that this sodding laptop, which is on its last legs anyway, is giving me serious trouble keyboard/mouse-wise right now. (It's fair enough; it's served me for like 6 years now, which is pretty long for a laptop.) So if I'm quiet, it'll be due to having to busy myself with backups and *sigh* looking for a new 'puter which isn't a piece of crap.

This is really stupid but damn, I can't help but feel guilty when anyone does something nice to me. To the point that I feel guilty when a random stranger smiles at me in the street or something. I feel like I don't deserve such kindness, and I feel a need to somehow let them now I really appreciate it. In such a case, smiling back would probably be more than enough but I feel like, since they were kind to a thing like me, I should do more; and either way, I'm usually too slow to react and smile back.
