I love strings, I love horns, I love orchestral pop, and I love folk. Put all of the above together and what do you get? An earnest folk pop song named Think Fast, from a band named Urvanovic (pronounced ‘er-van-o-vitch’ if you’re keen to know as I was). Saccharine melody joins their song’s verdant instrumentals, folktronica elements, and endearing vocals. Altogether, the song straddles a fine line between traditional folk and lo-fi indie electronica. Think Fast is a sure shot straight for my heart. It’s from Urvanovic’s debut album Amateurs, to be released digitally via Survivalist on May 18th, and physically on June 15th. The Scottish band also released a silhouette laden music video for the song to match its rustic charm.
