In our research we have come across some negative comments about this company's live chat. Many claimed that their agents takes way too long to answer but the truth be told when we used live chat with them we experienced no such problems. Sure they would take about five minutes some times to answer a question but not half an hour as some people claimed! We do not know if we were just lucky all the times we talked with them or if some people are just exaggerating but we found their service more than adequate and their agents proffessional and thorough when answering our questions.
Website:
A pop-up appears at the beginning of the site with a terms&conditions agreement in order to proceed. Curiously though when we tried to access the terms&conditions window it would not open. We leave it to you to make your own assumptions. Anyway this firm as they say so themselves on their homepage are only for day traders. With no pattern day trading rules and a 6:1 leverage this broker seems as a really good option for online trading. Bear in mind though that because SureTrade's offices are outside the US there is zero accountability on their part which to put it simply they can get away with some technical issues that you may or may not find in their platforms. Those issues may cost a lot of money though so trade at your own risk.
The first thing you see when you enter ATCbrokers' website is a message pop-up prompting non US residents to the UK website. The homepage is simple yet appealing, promoting any new offers the broker has currently. The website itself is very functional but we were a little disappointed about their educational system. All and all they have nineteen video tutorials which are very useful but compared to other brokers who have tutorials explaining to a potential client how to trade from scratch we think that they could do a little bit better. Other than that they have an upstanding website and really good offers you should see.
History:
Not much on ATCbrokers' history except that they started their activity in 2005. They are regulated by the National Futures Associasion (NFA) as long as the Commodity Futures Trading Commision (CFTC) in order to have permission to trade in the USA. They mainly target the US but they trade in all around the world.
Customer Support:
We are willing to call this a big coincidence but everytime we attempted to speak to an agent somehow we always got the same person. Furthermore the agent was too busy since there were times that we waited for 20 minutes to get a response and even worse there were times that we received a message telling us that all agents were busy at the time. Other than that the agent was quite helpful when he responded and answered to all our questions briefly and to the point.
Extras:
Minimum deposit $5.000
Spreads are not fixed
No Mac demo environment

On the top right corner there is a link for customer support where there you will be transferred to a page with frequently asked questions. On the right of that page there is a link to access the site's live chat. We have to confess that we did not make it easy for this firm's agents (we were very annoying). Still the agents acted very professional and responded quickly and to the point to all our questions. We give this firm's customer service a thumbs up and wish for them to keep up the good work.
History:
E*Trade Financial Corporation (E*Trade for short) is a US-based company with their headquarters in New York. E*Trade operates through many subsidiaries such as E*Trade Bank, E*Trade Securities LLC, E*Trade Capital Markets LLC and so on.
Foundation:
In 1982 William A. Porter and Bernard A. Newcomb founded TradePlus in Palo Alto, California. In 1991 Porter and Newcomb founded a new company, E-Trade Securities, Inc.,[4] with several hundred thousand dollars of start-up capital from TradePlus. E-Trade offered its trading services via America Online andCompuserve. In 1994 its revenues neared $11 million (up from $850,000 in 1992). It later reorganized and emerged under the name E-Trade Group, with E-Trade Securities as its principal subsidiary.[5]
In August 1996, it went public with Robertson, Stephens & Company as the lead underwriter. In 2003, the company changed its name from E-Trade Group Inc. to E-Trade Financial Corporation.
In 2001 a publicly traded online brokerage firm known as Web Street Securities was acquired by E-Trade. Web Street had a strong presence in cities throughout the United States with offices in Beverly Hills, Boston, Denver, and San Francisco. The sale was $50 million in stock and cash.
In 2003 the Toronto-Dominion Bank held talks to merge its TD Waterhouse discount brokerage with E-Trade, but the two sides could not come to an agreement over control of the merged entity.[6][7] In 2005 E-Trade made an unsolicited offer for Ameritrade, currently the second largest U.S. discount broker. Ameritrade instead purchased TD Waterhouse, with TD Bank holding a 39% stake in the new entity.[8]
In August 2005, E-Trade Financial acquired Harrisdirect, formerly a discount brokerage service of Bank of Montreal. Two months later, E-Trade acquired Brown & Company (aka BrownCo), formerly a discount brokerage service of J.P. Morgan, for $1.6 billion in cash.[9]
Website:
In terms of appeal the website and especially the homepage is of course top class. We really appreciated the company's measures to take into consideration the clients ideas and point of view. When you enter the website a survey pops up with questions related to customer satisfaction. Also on the top right of the homepage there is a link where clients can write their own suggestions on how to improve the service of the company. As for their education system we would say is rather mediocre since their sources come from third parties we kind of question their sources' credibility here. Other than that everything else seems in place.

Customer Support:
Unfortunately there is not much to say about their live chat since we haven't been able to communicate with any of their agents for days. Despite the first time we attempted to do live chat and were lucky enough to have a brief conversation with one of their agents, every other time we failed. For four days all we received was a message that all their operators are busy at the moment and that we should try later (although they were busy later too). We have stumbled in this situation before with another broker and we will be happy to share the advice that we gave them to you. Get more agents! Your credibility and standards are being diminished by your lack of service.
