When ‘National Security’ Means Stealing Latin America’s Wealth

The head of the US Southern Command, Laura Richardson, listed the Lithium Triangle of Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia, Venezuela's gold, and Guyana's crude oil, noting that 31% of the world's fresh water is found in the region, which she said “we have a lot to do.”

She concluded by mentioning that all of this is a matter of “national security.”

What do countries with mineral resources have to do with US national security?

Absolutely nothing. They are only going to steal resources from all of Latin America and keep the leading power in power at the expense of Latin America.
