Louisville Officer Fatally Shoots Armed Suspect After Deadly Domestic Shooting

On November 10, 2025, around 2 a.m., Louisville Metro Police responded to reports of a woman shot in the 5500 block of Ridgecrest Road. As officers arrived, they encountered a man armed with a handgun who ignored commands to drop it and pointed the weapon toward them. Officer Hunter Weaver fired, striking the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Frank Aguilar. Both Aguilar and the woman, 45-year-old Tiffany Reiner, were taken to UofL Hospital in critical condition and later died.

Trooper Fatally Shoots Man Threatening Woman with Scissors in Chemung, New York

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, New York State Police responded to a home on Rotary Road in Chemung, New York, for a reported domestic incident. Investigators say 18-year-old Nathan Novakowski was threatening a woman with a pair of scissors inside the residence around 3 p.m. The responding trooper ordered Novakowski multiple times to drop the weapon, but he became increasingly agitated and attempted to stab the victim. To prevent imminent harm, the trooper fired his weapon, fatally shooting Novakowski. The female victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the New York State Police.

Deadly Officer-Involved Shooting at Downtown Nashville Greyhound Bus Station

A deadly officer-involved shooting occurred early Friday morning at the Greyhound bus station on Rep. John Lewis Way in downtown Nashville. Metro Nashville Police say officers responded around 6 a.m. to a 911 call from a man who claimed he had a gun and was “feeling crazy.” Body camera footage shows officers ordering the 30-year-old man to remove his hand from his backpack before two officers opened fire after he repeatedly stated he had a gun. No weapon was found in his bag. The man was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation, and the involved officers have been placed on routine administrative assignment.

Houston Police: Teen Arrested After Shooting at Officers During Sharpstown Standoff

Houston police say a 17-year-old suspect is in custody after allegedly shooting at officers during a standoff at an apartment complex in the Sharpstown area Thursday night. According to HPD Assistant Chief Luis Menendez Sierra, officers responded around 8 p.m. to reports of gunfire at 6650 Harbor Town Drive near Bellaire. When they arrived, they found a woman on the ground outside the building who said she had jumped from a second-story window to escape gunfire from a family member inside. She also told officers that other relatives, including at least one child, were still trapped in the apartment.
