1st Lt. Ariana A. Bouche, a 27-year-old U.S. Air Force pilot, tragically lost her life in March 2026.
She was serving as a pilot (or co-pilot, per some reports) on a KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft from the 756th Air Refueling Squadron (U.S. Air Force Reserve).
The plane crashed in western Iraq during a mission involving aerial refueling operations, as part of “Operation Epic Fury” amid tensions or conflict involving Iran).
The incident was described as a mid-air collision with another Stratotanker; the second aircraft landed safely, but all six crew members on her plane were killed.
This appears to have occurred around March 12 or shortly before mid-March 2026, based on the timing of widespread tributes, obituaries, and news reports surfacing around March 14–15, 2026.
She was described as a courageous, dedicated service member who gave her life in defense of the country. She was remembered as a beloved daughter, friend, and hero.
Rest in peace, Lieutenant Bouche—thank you for your service 🙏♥️🇺🇸
