it is not your job to dictate how other people write and share fic. it's not someone else's responsibility to cater to your favorite elements or to avoid your pet peeves or squicks. like. do we understand how insane that sounds? there is quite literally something out there for everyone. if you do not like something, don't engage with it. if you already have and you change your mind halfway through, just click out. unless it's actively harming people, being personally offended by your own reaction to someone else's work is not something that entitles you to leave a scathing comment or to publicly shit on the writing or the author. i see posts about it every other week but i don't know that it actually clicks for everyone that this shit is FREE.
i don't know about you but i'd rather be surrounded by dozens of works and tropes i don't necessarily love but were written authentically and out of genuine joy than see a copy/paste outline that is technically 'perfect' and void of any personality aside from strict canon. the lack of rules and restraint is one of the things that allows us to create and consume things that we can see ourselves in, imperfections and all. it's why certain fics stick with us for years, why we have comfort reads that never fail to cheer us up, why we all have that one fic that we can point to and be like holy shit that's me on a page and feel seen, even by a stranger across the internet we may never interact with otherwise. the minute we start imposing self-appointed 'rules' and regulations and stifling creativity by shitting on the parts of it that we don't like is when the joy goes away.
tl;dr: remember that acronym THINK? is what you have to say true, helpful, inspiring, necessary and kind? if it's not at least three out of five, keep it to yourself or send it in the DM's.
STOP CAPTIONING MY TITS. jfc

{Reminder neopronouns are fucking sick and you should use them NOW}
I love you, fic writers. I love you authors. BUT YOU GUYS NEED TO FUCKING LEARN TO TAG UNHAPPY ENDING! GOD, I AM SO TIRED OF THIS! IT'S NOT THAT HARD! IF YOU EVEN MENTION THAT IT'S A SAD ENDING IN THE AUTHOR'S NOTE, YOU CAN TAG IT!
Dawg I'm going to be so honest. I'm the FNC guy, I've been called THE jrwi cosplayer, everyone in the fandom is probably aware of me and how active I was pre hiatus.
But all of this spoiler shit is making me extremely disinterested in actually continuing to listen. I watched 116 and that's it. The blatant disregard for the rest of this community on the app is ACTIVELY pushing me out of my favorite and longest special interest.
You are alienating your community. Please just tag your shit and put it under a cut, it takes about 5 extra seconds.
