RRRAAAH i'm sorry it's not often that i need to vent somewhere but i need to get it off my chest

it's. so. HARD. to have a conversation with people who rely on AI in their research!!!!

like oh i get it not every task you're asked to perform in the university is the most exciting, fast and easy thing to do, but fucking keep it together!!!!!!! if you're asked to deliver a small report about something, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S ALIVE AND BREATHING, don't just drop a prompt into some fuckass AI program and copy&paste it into your presentation!!!!!!!!! it's gone so dire that i can't even get the person to REVIEW THE GENERATED TEXT USING REAL RESOURCES. they just fucking!!!! DUMPED THE RESOURCES I SENT THEM!!!! INTO THE AI PROMPT BAR!!!!!!!! AND ASKED IT TO MAKE A NEW REPORT USING THAT INFO!!!!!!!!!! it's not how you CHECK FOR ERRORS i will skin you alive and eat you

I wish fans would re-learn that if they don't have a canon answer for something they can just make it up. You don't need to ask creators for credible answer. Have fun! Isn't it what fandom is about?

your anti-mal posts give me so much life. i want everything descendants from here on out to be about anyone other than mal. im so sick of her character rn. we got 4 leads. 4 mains!! but mal always gets the bigger storylines! its not fair! i wanna see more of evie, carlos, and jay! ooh or uma! id love books and movies about pirate uma and her life on the isle! i wanna know more about the isle. *whispers* her pirate bae is cute. he can have some screen and book time too. thats cool with me.

*Whispers back* its cool- Umas Pirate Bae gets screen time just as much with Uma and Gil.

I want to know why the heck they set up the isle in the first place- was Beast even in his right mind at the time?! Sure Beast- bring back such villains as Maleficent, Jafar, Evil Queen and Gaston- sure that wont bite you in the butt in the near future! Seriously, WHY WOULD HE BRING BACK TO LIFE PEOPLE WHO TRIED TO KILL KIDS, TRIED TO FORCE HIS WIFE INTO A WHAT APEPARED TO BE A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP AND TRIED TO OVERTHROW A KINGDOM?!

Was he high? Cause he has to be so fucking stoned to make the choice to bring back MALEFICENT OF ALL PEOPLE!

And yet- despite having interesting characters, nearly all of them being POC too- the white girl gets the most storylines and gets what she wants and all the POC are just sidelined for her or become her stepping stones!

Here are what I could honestly think they could do at this point with other characters:

*Uma, Harry and Gil with the crew riding around the world on their boat, and running into trouble with either, I don’t know, a rogue pirate ship, someone from the ocean, Umas Aunt Morgana as we have no mention of Morgana in the series- JUST DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS.

*A story about Ben struggling with his new role as the king of Auradon at 16 years old- I mean, he already hints in D2 hes struggling- like, some opposite kingdom opposes Ben as king, thinking hes unfit for the role or even heck, the Auradon citizen’s start opposing Ben and try to overthrow him.

*A story about Evil Queen, Jafar or Cruella returning and trying to recruit their kids into helping them- take them to Arab, take them to where the fuck EQ was set in or take them to London- just take them somewhere interesting with the kid having to fight their parent and be the main lead instead of Mal.

*A villain doesn’t rise from the ranks of the Isle- no, it rises from the ranks of AURADON- not everyone is perfect, this person wants to overthrow Ben as King, send the kids back tot he Isle and control the kingdom- and Uma and the crew come in and help defeat the villain, AND ITS UMA WHO FINISHES THE FIGHT-

*One of the villain kids is almost lured into being evil, not Mal- one of the others, not because of pressure, but because of increasing magic- I don’t know which one- Jay suddenly developing his fathers abilities with magic, Evie growing addicted to using magic/potions like her mother or Carlos just….I don’t know with him- but just don’t have it be Mal- make it a twist to the audience that just as we think they evil, they reveal they not and they tricked their parent into getting defeated or in a weak spot where they could be taken down.

AND THIS ALONE IS JUST THOUGHT OF ME AS A FANFICTION WRITER- AND YET, DISNEYS JUST FARTING OUT MAL STORIES AND NOTHING ELSE.

Im sorry but literally, I could name all the fanfiction writers that could pull off descendants better! And they could all beat Disney with ease!

The idea has been basically gift-wrapped and handed to Disney begging it to be made incredible, made into a fantastic movie- AND DISNEY STILL DOESNT USE IT.
